Get a tripod if you don't have one. That way you can take multiple shots of the same pic on different settings. You will quickly learn which settings will work for you. Try this at night as well.
P.S. I didn't even notice the tC in the 1st pic. I was too busy having FJ Crusier envy!

Yeah i think the term you guys were looking for is "shallow depth of field." Very common in photography. In case anyone wanted to know but probably not so...
Nice wheels...post up more when you get the springs on. I always like drooling over dropped tC's. Just looks sooo much better.

and is solved by decreasing the aperture (large f number). you could also get a focus stacking program such as combine Z5. With this program, you take a couple of images from the same location with different focus points, and the program will overlay the images and combine the focus points to get the entire image in focus.
