Default Digital Camera Advice/Help

I was in the market for a new digi cam and I heard great reviews about the Canon Powershot SD600, so I baught it. After toying around with it for a bit and taking a bunch of pictures, I don't like it at all! The LCD Screen is grainy... and when uploaded to the computer, the pictures were grainy as well. It's a nice small camera, but not for me. I hate to say it, but my old crappy Kodak EasyShare took sharper pics. I will be returning it tomorrow to get something else and I need some advice on what to get. My price range is $200 - $250.

Tell me what you're using and post pics from the cam.

canon s2. with the release of teh s3 and probably the s4 within the next couple of months, prices on this have dropped significantly.

it was my camera for a good 8-9 months before i got my 20D. i know you've seen some of the pictures i've taken and posted up thus far. if you need more examples, just check my photobucket (search for neothin)

nah, you can get a good idea of what your looking at. pretty cool screw because it can rotate 180 degrees and flip onto the camera backwards.

most electronics stores shoudl have them instock.

The bigger the lens the more potential you have of getting nice photos.

I just bought a camera over the weekend. Not bad for it price. Retailed for $129, localy. It's a digital camera made in Britian called UFO DC6030. At first, I thought "hey this must be some cheap @$$ cameras they got, bought when I saw it personaly, its not that bad at all. Comes with 1 year warranty, and the store services it. (something hard to get when ordering online if something goes wrong).

Heres the specs:
Maximun resolution pics: 6 mega pixels (3264x244, low (1600x1200)
Built in Memory 32mb with S Drive flash Card
5X digital zoom
Night Assist picture
assorted shutle and exposere speed/time
ect, ect.

Here some pics I made, testing picture quality
