Default Driveable tC Exhaust <$250.00

Hey,

Im lookin for a nice, reliable exhaust for my tC. I like Tanable, Injen, Greddy, and Borla but I'd like one under or around $250.00 free shipping. I also like the deep import racing sound, but not louder than legal limit (95db). If you could help out in finding a few I'd appreciate it.

Thanks SL members,
Brandon

You looking for a catback, header back, axleback, or complete system?

Go to a local muffler shop and see what they can do for you.

I'd recommend keeping the catalytic conv if you are planning on staying legal.

An axleback is more for sound. A complete system can free up some real hp if thats your goal, but keep in my that the catalytic converter is very restrictive

Well, right now I'm looking at the Tanable Medalion Concept G Catbck Exhaust
for $290.00 with a $49.00 shipping charge. I mainly want it for sound, but like I say "legal limit."

Thanks for the replies!

if youre not really looking to make it faster then you might as well get a universal muffler from an online store. Get a nice borla or injen or whatever and have a muffler store cut out the stock muffler and run a pipe from the pipe in front of the cat to the end. This way you get some good sound and also an axleack for about $100.

I was seriosly just thinking about getting a universal muffler like you said^ but how would that install? does it tamper with the Cat converter. I seriously dont feel like spending $400.00+ dollars just for sound. How much more expencive would that be to get a shop to do that?
thanks for mentioning that.

youd have to weld it on

id go for an axleback system, its cheap and sounds good, not as good as a catback, but better than a uni muffl;er, IMO
