yes this was true...with the new models coming out they crushed several of the demo cars because they are only allowed a limited amount. also the cars are non titled and are only good for shows so when toyota and other car companies are done with them they go bye bye. this is what the scion regional manager told me.
also this happened with nissan they braught over 3-4 maybe more r34 gt-rs in 99 to test them and 6months after testing they smashed them...gotta love companies for doing that :D

well.... i could always ask the guy that made the car to get confirmation..
or ask the regional reps whom i'll be meeting within a few weeks.
hmm.. i haven't heard any news about that particular car being disposed of... you're making me all curious now...
yea i was all sad when i heard about it...

as far as I know that car didn't ever spend time on the road as it was never titled or licensed and it was set for destruction (too much liability for Toyota). I have only seen it rolling off transport trucks
they cant keep theme because they are company demo cars with no title or vin or anything and therefore once they are done they have to distroy them. i dont know if the car was built in the US or not im sure it was but some cars even that are imported only can be in the states for a few months on a visa then must be distroyed or shipped back. gotta love big companies...also when talking about how its like a vintage Ferrari, a friend of mine runs a euro shop and is a licenced dismantler aka chop shop but legal ive personally been there and helped cut a ferrari 308 in half as well as a porsche 914 and a few others. bmw 750s u name it almost its no big deal its part of cars...

But them in a museum!! Please o please!! don't tell me they destroyed the DJ xB too!! If so I'm seriously gonna cry. why can't 5Axis just keep the cars?? Please say it ain't so!! Heck I'll take them off their hands and register them. Why would you spend all that money to mod them and crush them like 2 yrs later?
This is the most knocked off body kit for the Xb. But why buy a cheap copy and spend hundreds making it fit when you can buy the right part out of the gate and save all that time?!?
i think the DJ xB was property of pioneer audio not toyota america but i could be wrong...but yea the DJ car is just baller.
