Thats right the pre production 08 xb is sitting at Servcos VPC as of yesterday and here for the Motor Trend Magasines First Hawaiian Banks International Auto show next week in which Scion Evolution Hawaii will also be one of the 4 featured car clubs.

The car will go back to Scion Corp after the show.. Damit is was hoping they would have sent it to me for some mods! LOL

I actually got to see it today and got to sit in it .. here are my thoughts about it..

Its a white one and i think its just a pre production model. The rear emblems were not on stright.. the door panels was un finshied and looked cheap and not finished.. I hope that wasnt the final product that is going to be sold with the car.

Got to sit in it and its very roomy but i think the back leg room is a tiny bit less than the old XB.. the trunk is huge about 2x larger than the older xb.. the head room wasnt as high as the older XBs.

under the back seat looked kindof funky but it might have been some hidden compartments of some kind..

the shifter im not feeling it maybe just have to get used to it..

The engine there was a TC engine and it wasnt crammed in like how it is in the TC.. it has lots of rooom to work on the eng..

I got unlucky they didnt have the keys.. I wanted to drive the bad boy..

At the show the door will be locked and they will not open it..

I would buy it.. but I would never drive it stock.. LOL

Sorry no pics becuase i went to the dealership to drop off lic plate backets and they asked me if i wanted to see it and my cam was at home..

i wish i was as lucky as you were. i am seriously going to buy it too. what's wrong with the shifter? i think it would be better up higher. is it too high? was it less spacious? i just want the extra power actually. i don't really care about the space, just as long as it came from the boxcar and it's got more power i'm happy.

 

 

You were not mistaken, there is a cubby under the rear bench.

 

now i can put my playdoh and finger paints in the back with my legos too....lol.

 

yeah, was at the car show earlier today...too bad, it was roped off and no one could get real close to it...but, MANY were giving praise of the 1st gen XB to the sales staff and one could see the 'happy smiles' as they come out of the 'older' xBs.

anyone on Oahu during the car show: don't forget to go up to the 3rd level and see the SE group of tricked-out xBs and the lone TC/no xAs were there...

 

yeah i went to the car show, i liked the new xb, but CAN'T SEE INSIDE! i was mad. but i'm still going to get one anyways. i told my dealer i want the first one on their lot.

 

something i can brag about. LOL. oh well not really brag, cause i love my box more. but i can say i got to put my fat butt in it.
