TRICKED YOU, BUT NOW THAT YOU ARE ALREADY HERE PLEASE READ...
Hey guys, there are only seven days left in the Toy Drive and we are seriously lagging. Only eleven people, including myself, have donated anything to this awesome cause. That is eleven people out of over a thousand!
I know everyone reading this message can afford to donate three dollars, so please take a few minutes and help us out. Write a check or stick three singles in an envelope and send them to:
There are only five days to go in the Toy Drive. Scion Life is currently in sixth place. We only need 130 points to pull ahead of focaljet.com or 163 points to get past SELOC.net (which has HALF the number of members we do, by the way). I would love to finish this contest in fourth place.
Our current average is 0.353 per member. That is great when you think about the fact that only 0.014 of our members have actually done anything to help!
Please take a moment today to donate a few dollars to this worthy cause. My personal goal is to have the contest end with 10,000 toys. Right now the total of all websites is 6557. If we can get another 100 points I will feel that we did our best.
I think that toy cars like Hot Wheels are some of the coolest toys to give an impressionable kid. Hot Wheels and Legos, they are the building blocks (literally and figuratively) or sparking the imagination in young kids. I've got a baby cousin, who at 2, could name almost 90% of the cars on the road. Now he's 3 and all he talks about are cars. He makes up songs about cars, and changes the words of other classic tunes to include car makes and models. So you can see where he's going to be headed as he gets older. If there's anything that we can do to help shape the future of those who are less fortunate to maybe be inspired to work hard at achieving something that might lead them down a good path, then we should do it. Anyway, sorry for going off, but this is one of the few things I would be passionate about.
Can we get little Candy Cane icons if we donate? I want a pretty little icon until I get my member bars....
Ya know what, I did it. That means you have to donate now. !!

I hear you on that! I grew up with toy cars and Legos and they helped me become the guy I am today. That is the main reason that I love to run these toy drives, I remember the days of waking up on a Saturday morning, running right past the TV and spending the entire morning playing Legos and cars... (sigh)
By the way, I apologize that site sponsors and members can't have the little candy cane because of limitations on the forum. I can only give each person one rank and image.
WOw, we had a rally today and it pushed us up to fourth place, by a small margin! I don't expect us to be able to compete with the top three, they have thousands of members, but I want to make sure we hold out ground and don't backslide. Lets get a nice little padding space there... a few bucks should do it.
BTW: All members that donate now get a cool little candy cane icon next to their name.
Because of limitations of the website I can't give candycanes to people that already have other ranks... like paying members or, unfortunately, the site admin. I gave $20 though.
