I've never cared for the look of our stock engine covers with the Toyota logo and writing. I'm also not a fan of the carbon engine covers, at least not for the price.
So, I decided to pick up a spare cover and see if I could shave it clean. I think it came out pretty nice but I haven't decided what to do with it next. Any suggestions on what color scheme to use or add a Scion logo?

No wild color schemes for me. It would defintely be Flint Mica and black, would consider some silver accent or something like that.
I was thinking about picking up a ScionLife or Scikotics decal and using it as a template. Then painting the cover body color so that the logo will be a different color.
I also have a spare Scion logo from the front grill but it would only fit flush if I angled it on the bottom right corner.
how did you shave it off...using sandpaper or a palm grinder?
Started with a dremel and drum sanding bits to take alot of it off. Then a handheld "mouse" sander and finished it by hand. Just sprayed a couple coats of Krylon Fusion to bring it back to stock color.
