Default Crazy event tonite, i gotta vent!!!

Something stupid just happened to me tonight while i was heading home from my friends house and i jsut feel like i must vent about it so please bear wit me cus its a little long. So, i was coming home from my friends place and i reach the entrance of his neighborhood, and i check for traffic, 2 cars coming up on the left, rdy to turn, they both had their turn signal on. So, i turn, and then when i look back, theres a small truck rite on my ___ he goes on the shoulder and passes me on the shoulder i'm like, wtf...ok..so then, he gets infront of me, and i think nothing of it, and he just goes, but hes going really slow and then he starts breaking, and breaking....and i'm like, maybe theres a car infront of him and then b4 a green light, the f***er comes to a complete full stop, in the middle lane of hw6, wit no cars around so, i'mlike, wtf is he doing then after a lil bit, he pulls to the right, and i go, and i still think nothing of it. Then he starts tailgating me like crazy and i mean reallllllll close and then he just keeps tailgating me, so i break check him a bit and he breaks then i get rdy to turn into my neighborhood, and he changes lane with me and then heres the best part,
HE FOLLOWS ME INTO MY NEIGHBORHOOD. : Thats when I've just had enough. Well, i'm infront of him, and i c him make a u-turn to leave and i was like, o hell nah, i turn my ___ around and floor it. He turns rite and i chase after him. He sees me coming up fast so he turns in to a plaza entrance and turns around; I stop rite infront of him and roll my window down and yell "hey man, wats ur problem" and then i keep going cuz traffic was coming and then he follows me AGAIN!! so i turn into another street and then into a walgreens parking lot thinkin he'll follow me,
which he does. I get into a parking space, but he just gets to the entrance, then he backs out and then he leaves.

This, to me, is just completely out of line. How can you be THAT ____ed that someone might have cut you off, and by which i believe that i did not, or at least not on purpose. Remind you that this is not some punk kid teenager but a full-grown adult, and i just dont think he should've acted the way he did. I could've taken all the crap he gave me, but to actually follow me into my neighborhood just crossed the line.

Please input your thoughts and comments on this event. I really dont know wat some people are thinking...

I don't know what caused it but you shouldn't have followed him at all. Some people are crazy and you could've gotten shot or something if he was in a bad enough mood. And when someone is tail gating you really close just let them tail gate... If they hit your car its their fault.. Pretend they're not there and drive right home, unless he is still following you then for obvious safety issues you might not want to go home with him still behind you...

I agree that it was potential dangerous of me to follow him, but i dunno for sure wat i was thinking, and besides, i couldnt have gone any further. I didnt wanna risk anything and i guess iwas just so mad that i wasnt thinking straight, I thought about the crazy-person-theory after he left, *sigh*.

Ya, following him and trying to confront him wouldn't have been a good idea. You know you don't have a gun, but he very well could have.

Then again I have been in somewhat similar situations before. I prefer to follow them with my brights, and when they try and brake check me, I floor it past and give a one finger salute.

My suspension is plenty capable of losing them if need be, and navigation makes sure I don't end up on any dead ends ;)

ahhhhh, thats why i HATE driving in the Houston area! Everytime i visit my sis, we ALWAYS get on someones bad side. Talk about road rage over there!

Fun part here, its only a 3 lane freeway. When someone likes to ride on my ___, i speed up to where a car's in the next lane, chill for a while and that car next to me always seems to go about 55mph . Then the car on my ___ runs across all the lanes trying to pass both, then i step on the gas and zooooooom far ahead its soo fun!

as for the follow the leader thing, iono bout that. Some people have been getting killed latley so i would advise to steer away from that one. You never know. I dont want to read about you in the morning newspaper h-town!

I would say let it go next time, but I have a good amount of road rage, so I dont have much room to speak.

Believe it or not, I've seen this happen, the tailgater, being an adult more than teenagers. I have never done such a thing like this and most likely will not even think of even wasting my gas on such a small thing.

I think you went a little too far. Don't get me wrong, I would have wanted to find out what his problem was, but for all we know, he could've been a violent psycho. Good thing he wasn't and you're safe. That's my thought...

I wonder what he was thinking though when you turned around and followed him? He's probably going to tell his family and friends never to tailgate a tC, ever.

Thx for all the replies. Ya, i didnt really think about the possibility of him being a psycho or armed until after it was over, which was stupid on me. But as far as me chasing him, that was partly for me to get to him and to get away from my neighborhood. I didnt want him knowing where i lived( i have a small neighborhood which only has 2 silver tC's, it wouldnt have been hard for him to find me). O, and just curious, wat would i have been able to say to the police if i had called them, cuz i did think about it, but i didnt get the license plate number of the other person. O well, i'm just glad its over and i hope it doesnt happen again.

You know what I do when someone is tailgating me? Slow down. Not a brake check, just let off the gas and sloooow dooown. I also do the same kind of thing as Yanki, rolling roadblocks are so satisfying.

I hope I don't get shot.
