Default Scion is Shaking up its Lineup

When Scion was first launched, it captured the youth market pretty well. It was a stylish, and cheap alternative to the boring econo-boxes that the owners parents bought. Now, Scion is struggling to remain profitable. All those people that bought Scion’s have moved on to bigger and better cars, and a new class of owner has infiltrated the once cool brand—older people.

So is the 2014 Scion iQ the last of her bred, or will it be continued for a few more? I keep reading (mostly via Aston Martin Cygnet articles) it will die this year, and then Toyota claim those rumors are false.

The 2015 iQ is up on the Scion website. Maybe they will announce that to be the last year.
I am excited about the possibility of the Auris coming to Scion. I need a new car soon and that might be the one. Hopefully we find out in the next few weeks at the Paris or LA Autoshows.

I'm glad the iQ still gets another year. It's a good car. Yea sure, the "car experts" give it a 5 or 6, but people who actually own the vehicle (myself included) will give it a 8 or 9. Honestly it's the high price that keeps the iQ from getting sales. I understand that the unique engineering costs money, but if it was cheaper they might recover via sold quantity. There's a market for micro cars... as the sustainable Smart sales show.

One of these days, when the iQ is old and not my daily, I might look into putting a 1.6 and see what she can really do. ;)

I love my xb but the Blade Master would probably get me to trade.
