After a while the kit started squeaking. There is a fix for it
1. Take out HVAC trim
2. Flip it upside down
3. Look at the part that the top of the stereo is pushing against
4. You should see 3 lines going from the back to the front. One all the way on the left. One all the way on the right and one in the middle. They are about 1/2 inch long.
5. Cover those lines with electrical tape.
6. Done

| I installed a Sony unit in this kit in my '06 xB. The kit fits correctly into the large opening in the dash from the stock stereo. The kit provided adequate support for the head unit, but was not as attractive as I had hoped for. The pocket, although convenient, appears flimsy and relatively cheap. Installation was fairly straightforward, short of the need to cut off two of the tabs to ensure proper fit. The kit holds the head unit firmly in place without being an extreme eyesore in the dash. Overall, if you are installing your aftermarket head unit yourself, this isn't a bad kit to use. |

| I just put this kit in my tC. Looks good. No problems with the pocket. Sits so tightly in I had problems putting it in there. Installation though was a struggle. Instructions are almost non existent and you have to figure out on your own what you have to cut of. There are like 4 big pieces that need to be shaven off in order to make it work in a TC. |

| I put in a Pioneer DEH-7700 head unit with this kit. Looks nicer than I thought it would. Fits flush and would definitely recommend this for someone that wants to go aftermarket with the head unit. Just search the web for it b/c I found mine for only $8.99. |

| Just to let you know this is a piece my buddy has an xb with this kit and the pocket always falls off it doesnt sit flush. but it was the only on available at the time. |
