Event Coverage: Scion>Forward at Knott’s Scary Farm

Let me be the first to tell you that Scion delivered in a major way! They really know how to throw a party! The turnout was tremendous, with around 3,000 Scions and over 10,000 Scion owners showing up to enjoy the perfect Southern California day.
As part of the Scion>Forward event, brand new toys were collected for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots charity. And with the help of the generous Scion community, the event was able to gather over 27,000 toys for less fortunate children! The toys filled up the beds of four Toyota Tundras and then some!
The main festival area had something for everyone. There were plenty of custom show cars to drool over as well as vendor booths and live entertainment. For those that prefer a more active lifestyle, there was a zip-line tower for people to glide across the event space and a skate board ramp to show off some wicked skills.
Five Axis, creators of some of the most innovative concept cars in the industry, was also on hand with miniature Five Axis tuned Scion xB giveaways for those few skilled enough to tackle their bean bag toss challenge. Of course they also brought their full-scale cars for everyone to enjoy.
Could this evening get any better? The answer is yes, it can. We were told that there would be a concert inside the theme park, but there was no mention of which artist would be performing. Following the crowd of people and the thumping beats, we quickly found ourselves groovin’ to the auto-tuned stylings of T-Pain!
Scion wasn’t kidding when they said they were going big for this year’s event. It was a great way to wrap up 10 years of fun times at Knott’s Scary Farm and we can’t wait to see what Scion has in store for the community next year!
