The Ladies of AnastasiaDate are Doing the Gumball 3000—Full Coverage Starts June 4th!
The Gumball 3000. The rally is as legendary as its name is ridiculous, and since 1999, Maximillion Cooper’s high-octane celebration of supercars, speed, celebrity and outrageous hedonism has covered more than 45,000 miles and shone a spotlight on the culture of fantastically wealthy gearheads from around the world. Previous runnings of the crazy carnival have seen globetrotting Gumballers sprint from New York to Los Angeles—on 2012’s “Sea to Shining Sea” route—and featured stops in ports as diverse as Istanbul, St. Petersburg, and Amsterdam. In 2008, participants even traveled deep inside North Korea to Pyongyang to witness the hermit kingdom’s annual Mass Games. What other rally has done that?
This year, the gorgeous ladies of AnastasiaDate will be joining celebrities like deadmau5, Bun B, Eve, Xzibit, Meek Mill and five-time Gumballer David Hasselhoff for a truly epic adventure which will begin in Miami, Florida and will end on the techno-drenched beaches of Ibiza, Spain.
Between the Magic City and the Mediterranean Sea’s infamous international party paradise, the rally will make stops in Atlanta and New York City before hopping across the Pond to invade Edinburgh, London, Paris and Barcelona. Our coverage will begin June 4th and run through the end of the rally on June 11th. If that sounds like a lot of insanity to cram into eight short days, rest assured it will be—and our readers will get an unprecedented opportunity to follow the action at every turn.
Because in a radiant illustration of why it’s far better to be lucky than smart, yours truly will be tagging along to chronicle the adventures of AnastasiaDate’s screaming hot, fan-selected representatives as they pilot their Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder up America’s eastern seaboard and down through Europe’s storied old country to Spain.
Every day, I’ll be posting tons of photos and videos and capturing the highlights of the high jinks, along with coverage of the rest of the drivers. This year’s field features a smorgasbord of sexy—and just plain insane—sheet metal. How insane? Along with more “pedestrian” entries like the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, a 2014 McLaren P1, a hyper-customized Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe and a 1964 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe, there’ll also be a BRABUS Super G 700 6×6 and a real-deal 2013 Batmobile Tumbler. Yup, a Batmobile.
To be perfectly honest, I’m losing my mind. Just writing this feels crazy, and I seriously can’t wait to get underway.
