A90 Toyota Supra, joint-developed with BMW, wasn’t without it’s hiccups during design phase.
At this point, we have a pretty good handle on the details surrounding the all-new 2019 Toyota Supra. This ‘MKV’ Supra, code-named A90, has a lot of BMW performance parts being put to work. After all, we’ve seen the engine bay, engine choices, chassis and suspension bits, and even watched it run the hill at Goodwood. What else is there to know besides the price tag and arrival date?
Well, according to Tetsuya Tada, the chief engineer behind the A90 Supra, there is a lot more happening behind the scenes. This is a rather long, but extraordinarily revealing compilation of interviews with Tada, done up by Moto Miwa of Club4AG. Everything from the BMW-Toyota collaboration, to the differences in design and engineering between the two brands is touched upon. It’s an excellent read, and, if you have 10 minutes, we highly encourage you to check it out.

Since that time, he has established connections with most of the world's major automakers, as well as other key brands in the automotive industry.
