so i received my new project a 1977 MGB, going to build a toy out of it since i decided to get away from my 944, its redundant i already have a 928 to play with and the 944 is nothing compared to that. it was my great uncles car and needs some serious attention. ill post pic of the build as they come here are some of how i received itAttachment 91661Attachment 91662Attachment 91663Attachment 91664Attachment 91665Attachment 91666Attachment 91667Attachment 91668Attachment 91669
it has quite a bit of cancer on the floor pans but nothing a welder and plasma cutter wont fix, already has an upgraded long tube intake manifold, steel headers, and Weber carb but not sure what else ill know more as i start tearing into it

Murphys_Law 04-06-2010 02:27 AM

you saw that birdsnest in the fender wells? i paid nothing, the car is solid minus the floorboards, whick are on order for roughly 250 bucks, i already got carpet and seats to go in it, and the damn thing turned over and tried to start with a very lite tune up, im pulling the motor anyone local wanna help me do the motor swap?

Sciond 04-07-2010 06:53 PM

those are a never ending project..but a fun car.... had a 944T and a 928 S4 they are fun too

draxcaliber 04-07-2010 10:47 PM

you don't need a top, just a put a tarp over it. leave it outside.

Murphys_Law 04-08-2010 01:12 AM

naw i got space in garage, thinking of a bikini top or just a toneau instead

accordselux 04-08-2010 11:34 PM

Wow that looks like a LOT of work, good luck with it! I see a few time and again, they always look nice. Don't forget to install some good old LUCAS electronics...
