"Presidential" amenities, combined with high "Bling-Bling" looks of those chromy-domey wheels gets me thinking . At what costs do you go to set yourself apart from the rest, with being as tasteful with mods? I know..... I know, its their cars, and they can do what they want to with their cars... embrace individuality, etc. I get that part, but when people change a component on their car that yields a negative performance enhancement and potentially results in a roadway disaster; thus they are compromising not just their own safety, but others around them. It just plain doesn't make sense.
Part: wheel size = larger circumfrence = higher likelyhood of your ride bottoming out = potenitally yields tire deformation/excessive heating at high speeds = tire blow-out = loss of control = accident = ___________ fill in the blank what is to come next.
Its one thing to go from a 17" to 18", say up one wheel size and the series of tire goes from a 45 to a 35/40. But when your going from a 17" stock to a 20" or 21", its all about looks (if you find that tasteful). Notice, the high quality wheel makers(I won't mention any manufacture names, you know who they are), they tend to only make wheel sizes up to 19" (which is GT series wheels for M3's, etc. , nothing beyond 19", gotta tell you something). Too fast = too curious?!
Edited: to fix spelling
