Alright, as we all know I started the year with three cars...
The xB Attachment 64540 The DSM http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._3807267_n.jpg and The SC2 http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...edroid1399.jpg I sold the SC2 in Jan, and picked up a McLaren F1 from 1995 (it was a hot deal) http://www.rpmgo.com/images/mclaren_f1_fire.jpg I had to get rid of her sadly, and picked up the firechicken http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3..._2563050_n.jpg As Many of you know, I recently sold the xB, and picked up an echo off CL for a little bit (2 days) No picture sadly And now I have purchased a new car hold on to your hats http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3..._2563968_o.jpg http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3..._1883222_o.jpg Thats Monica, my new 2011 Hyundai Genesis coupe, 6M, 2.0 Turbo. All kinds of speeding tickets are just waiting for me right now |
Great choice on the new car. Hyundai really has come a long way. In fact, if I was buying new, I'd probably be looking at the Genesis and Sonata before anything else.
|
Very nice choice.

Well I swapped the intake silencer for a straight piece of tube... and gained 3hp/5tq (no ____, its been proven)
http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._2877956_n.jpg also, found this out... The Theta engine is turbocharged for use in the Genesis Coupe. In this form it produces 210 hp (213 PS) @ 6,000rpm on 87 octane (AKI) gasoline, and 223 hp (226 PS) on 93 AKI. Torque remains the same at 223 lb·ft (302 N·m) @ 2000rpm. The Theta block used is very similar to the Mitsubishi Evolution X 4B11T, but the two engines are not identical. |

Block isnt the same... oil passages are different and the placement of the headbolts is different as well. the crank is different (stainless) and the rods/slugs are different...
the only thing interchangeable in/on the motors is the exhaust mani and the turbo... Also, the cars are underrated from teh factory... (thanks be to GM for this practice with starting it back in the 60's) as you can see the motor is rated at 210/223 on 87... with a tank of 87 my car ran 222/248 at the rear wheels completely stock. When we forcefed 93 in it it put down 231/256 |
Really wow didnt think there was that much dif thanks for the knowledge
