Need help finding motor for friend Ae86

Hey, my friend is trying to get his corolla gts up and running. After he parked it for some time, we got it started and the car sprayed coolant out of the exhaust and oil from the main seal. So he needs a new motor. Does any one know where he can find a good rebuilt motor for a decent price. I think a rebuilt motor would be better than another 24 year old motor for obvious reasons. I know you can find them on ebay, but I don't know which sellers to trust. Also it would be nice to find someone local in case there are any issues. Any input would be appreciated!

yay ae86's. working on those cars blows so hard lol, looking for something that will bolt in like a 4A-GE or 4A-C ? or willing to fab up something like an sr20/7mgte/etc?

Nah he's just looking for a direct replacement. It's gonna be his daily driver. So he's trying to get it up and running as fast as possible.4a-ge

as for a 4a, good luck, youre gonna get a 25 year old motor unless you find a jdm piece out of a sprinter.

might have luck on craigslist , or on a forum for a 4A-GE, maybe even a junk yard for a 4A-C

yeah xDtool has a good idea; why not just go on club4ag and hawk a motor from someone?
