i test drove the cayenne yesterday just the base model and it handles very well, takes curves very well and almost no body roll for a tall SUV its just pretty nice but it has mostly basic features for its price, add a feature and price goes boom.. im gonna test drive a Q5 later and then some infinity and see how they feel.. After driving the cayenne im already leaning towards it
^ agreed with you, the porsche handles like a car, and has plenty of power. However when equipped like the other two, the prove skyrockets. THis being said, The base porsche has enough features, and I'd go with that.

im leaning more on the Q5, handles very well too though not as good as the cayenne but it comes with nice features and functions for the price.. I love the design and the electronics too. I would miss the cayenne's nice sound though

All vehicles above are nice, I already went with the Q5 and very happy with it. The features it came with are pretty nice. The Q5 is very stylish and classy and not too many running on the road. I didnt even get to test drive the infinity, though I would agree the Infinity FX35 is nice too I just see too many on the road.
my dad owns a 2003 cayenne S. yes, the car is amazing, but it weighs 5100 pounds. has the same interior volume as a ford escape, and it had so many problems, my dad was going to get rid of it until porsche extended his bumper to bumper warranty to 8 year/100,000 miles. at 24k miles, it needed a new transmission. and he only drives the cayenne when it is too slippery to drive his corvette, or he needs the passenger seats.
also, porsche dealerships want $210 dollars to change the oil, local mom and pop garage charges 90 dollars instead. it requires a lot of oil per change, also the oil filter is porsche specific.
the audi is probably nearly the same as the cayenne in terms of quality, price of maitenance and so on.
infiniti would be the choice by process of elimination, but i don't have any close personal experience that could really help.
what do you really need an SUV for anyway? these are luxury crossovers really. they are expensive to maintain, can't go off-road, don't have very much interior volume, they don't have 3rd row seating, so they only seat 5 people max. you'd be better off with a subaru outback/legacy sedan/wagon.

Dont really need one for huge space. Goal was to get a nice looking comfortable vehicle ideal for long drives but still fun to drive, dont have to worry of bad road, handles good for spirited driving (lol for me) and of course a good looking vehicle. My tc is kinda aggressive for that and my wifes accord is getting old plus not so good on long highway driving with strong wind. I was looking at the subarus but im not feeling the style, good functions but not really that i can make much use. I was looking at the venza awd but just dont have the awd available to test drive at that time and my wife doesnt like it much. Ive been on RAV4 too, its a good vehicle but doesnt feel as nice as the cayenne, q5 or fx35.
Maintenance for cayenne is pricey though, 500ish once a year. I talked to the guy at the dealer about issues with cayenne and he said he hasnt heard of issues with later models. A good deal though is when the car gets any problems, they will pick it up wherever you are for free. Q5 maintenance is every 10K miles but costs less than porsche, major issues prolly not known yet for its fairly new. Infinity i believe should be like the usual vehicle maintenance?

If you want all that factory, go with the Infinity. The Porsche will have the best performance by leaps and bounds, but it seems kind of pointless foran SUV, it's not like you're going to the track with it. If you want to stay with Toyota, there's also the Lexus RX. I do like the look for the Infinity best though.

Well then, that's easy. Find a low mileage 1gen xB, add a body kit, upgrade the suspension and turbo it. Comfort, style and performance.

Getting the XB with those list you mentioned would probably the exact opposite of what Im looking for. It will never be as comfortable as an AWD luxury SUV, adding the turbo will make the maintenance and reliability worst imo.
I was wanting to check out the lexus rx but they all look horrible to me.. Infinity actually accelerates faster than the base cayenne but the handling is great it almost feels like its impossible to roll and sound it makes it on sports mode is awesome.
