Thank you, I appreciate it.

When I was looking to buy one, I saw an Electron Blue Z06 and it was the most beautiful shade of blue that I have ever seen. Too, bad it was $39,500.

Yellow wasn't my first choice, but when I saw it on the lot, I knew I wanted it. (Even though it had a spoiler that I didn't really like. But it grew on me.) It definately needed the new wheels and brake setup, though.

personally, i would take a vette. sure the viper is awesome looking and that v-10 is sick, but the fact that i wouldn't be able to get out of my car after driving it cause the door sills get way to hot (car and driver fried an egg on them; also made a deep dish pizza on the hood) makes me think that a vette is a better all around car. The Z06 especially. I would take the viper for show, but the vette for everyday use, no doubt in my mine.

Yup. I was watching a Top Gear Episode with the Viper in it and the side skirts actually started to burn

i wouldnt choose either, both are overpriced and are horrible to have as DD.

i would choose a low buck import and build it to be a beast.. i.e: supra, evo, sti

I'd rather have a Vette, myself. I like their styling over the Vipers.

I'll make an analogy that may sound really strange, but I'll say it anyway.

The Z06 is like a gentleman who walks into a bar or club and is not afraid to get into a fight. It doesn't walk in looking for a fight, but it's not scared to beat someone's a$$.

A Viper, on the other hand, is like the 7 foot tall dude who shoots steroids every day and walks into a bar specifically looking for a fight. It has to have it's presence known at all times.

So if you have a tough time choosing which car you like, think about it in terms of what kind of people you like (using the analogy above).

$75,000 for a 500 hp supercar is too high? I think not, but that's your opinion. And choosing neither wasn't an option.

I can only speak from experience about the Z06 because I had the opportunity to maneuver one at Carlisle last year, but it's power is extremely managable and it is very capable of being a daily driver. I've never driven, let alone sat in a Viper, so I can't say how well it would fair, but if I had to guess I'd say it would be a little harsh.

I kind of thought of it in the same way, actually. Except the Viper didn't take steroids, and he was just a d-ck.

I really like that personification that the Vette gives out. Simplicity, strength, class... THAT'S the kind of car I'd like to have!

I would take a vette. This is NOT a dog on the viper, but from what I have read and heard from both Vette and Viper owners ( I used to work with doctors) that the viper really uncomfortable on trips over 50 miles. The vette is very comfortable on road trips. I like to take road trips, so I would take the vette.

lol low buck import. idk those arent too cheap. an sti and evo are both gunna run you about 40k+ after taxes. and after you are done building ur beast its still an sti and an evo. dont get me wrong they are both amazing cars in there class but they will never be a high end sports car. it will still be a tuner no matter how fast or how much money u put into it. and when u are done u will be at the same price and u wont be able to gain anymore hp. y do that when u can start at 500hp and build it to have way more hp then a evo, sti or supra

I don't believe in this analogy. I know that you are not saying that people who own these are like this, but one of the nicest people I have ever met drives one of the sweetest vipers i have ever seen. BlueBatMobile as he is know, he drives a white with blue stripped special edition monster. simply amazing

So you're saying that the Z06 does not conservatively utilize its power while the Viper is quiet and refined?

x2 on Bat's Viper. It looks nicer every time I see it.

My dad used to have a 92 RT/10. I personally would love have an older vette to work on. Early to mid 70's C3 to start with would be awesome.
