Nailed it.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE WONDERING WHY IT'S ONLY ONE TIRE:

You need a LSD, or positrack(for you old school junkies) to do two wheel burnouts. We naturally will lose traction on one side and one side only.

damn didnt know i would get so much haters. I hope all ya guys obey all the laws, complete stops at stop signs, turn signals 100yards before the turns, i hope ya guys dont run illegal HID lights, not have any blue lights, etcs.....so shut the ____ up, if you dont like keep it to yourself. Whooppeee i can do a burnout, i can do a burnout in a 16 second car...WOW, i'm not here to show off, just here to show a little video. The tires were crap anyways and they lived their life already, those tires lasted me 30,000 miles.

AND YOU KNOw what even if i did get a ticket, thats my own damn fault. Risking bystanders??? was you even there to see how far away i was from everybody? I think watching the burnout contest at a car show with WHIPLASH doing their burnout in their choped integra and the ____en fender FLYING off and the crowd is standing right next to the cars, is a lil more dangerous than what I did. I can even prove it to you about the fender flying off, BECAUSE I WAS video taping it, happen right in front of my camera. Also good thing i have connections with law enforment people also, so a ticket, thats a thing of the past.

I actually liked the video. As far as you knowing Law Enforcement and them not ticketing you is a different story. Stunts like this is what makes our cars more visible to law enforcement. If you were to come to my town you would of been walking home and that nice car of yours would be history.
Be safe.

HE was just having a bit of fun... so two points

1) They are HIS tires
2) I am sure all of those innocent bystanders were frightened out of their minds at that car spinning its wheels and never getting over 5 mph. Oh wait... there were none, they wre in a parking lot with a group of friends.

People get way to preachy and defensive sometimes. Like I said... he was just having some fun. Let it go. Its not like he was trying to prove anything and he was in a pretty safe place from what I can tell. A ticket would have been his biggest risk.

Engifineer.... Dissapointed....

Not preachy.... just legal.

Not only was it unsafe, which is something none of us should support, it is also vandalism... as running rubber down private parking lots is not going just "Come Off" with rain or anything.

What you have to think of it the repultation it gives Scions in the tuner community... We spend so much time trying not to be grouped in with all the other imports and the cheesy-ness that goes with them sometimes, only to pull stunts that have made us cop targets all over the states.

Street Racing and everything that goes with it.... like this... has killed the tuner community in California, as the politics behind it have put so much pressure on the guys themselves... so not only do you have CARB, but you are hounded for every other little thing by the cops and can't group in lots anymore, cause cops get so many complaints about this type of behavior...

Like I said... If this was on a strip or track.... REALLY SWEET.... but it wasn't, and that's what the real tuners should stand up for. We DON'T need any more attention from the police.

No Hating.... just wanting respect from the cops... not contempt.

Not supporting it or anything but I seriously think that the guys complaining should grow up a little. Come on all he did was burn out with his tires. People on this webiste do things that are far more illigal that burning out in a parking lot with noone around like putting illigal mods on their cars. I am so sure everyone who complained never did anything illigal...yeah right.

So your Exhaust, DDE, BLUE undercar LED, BLACKED out side AMBER markers are not illegal and doesnt attract cops right? I mean you wanna preach about keeping it legal and all, but I'm pretty sure your car would attract more attention my car.

WeDriveScions:
Besides 12 year olds and people with IQ's lower than 100, who groups people together by make of car???? The people who do will no matter what. Anyone who says "I saw this kid in a Scion doing a burnout, so all Scion drivers must be bad" is a complete and utter fool in thier thinking and will most likely be a jerk off to you to start with.

As far as the safety thing.. I see no more safety concern there than anywhere.

As for the black marks... ok, we are digging a little deep for a reason to complain arent we?

I dont condone wildly unsafe road racing or anything of the sort, but I am also not so stuffy that I pick at anything that can be construed as illegal either. I have done my fair share of things outside what is strictly legal.. .right or wrong. So sorry if I "dissappoint" you, but I feel no reason to gain anyones approval on such a trivial thing. I suppose you drive strictly at or below the speed limit?? Oh wait... this is you from another post:

I hit 103 in My xB.... Scared the crap out of me.... any movement of that wheel and I'd been a gonner...

I've only got my tC up to around 95, as I'm terrified of another ticket. I'll play a little more when I get my springs and sway on Friday... see how it moves at a better clip.

I got my old 02 Passat GLX up to 139, and that was fun.... smooth as can be....

I know I'm a moron for driving that fast

But, Still alive and kickin'

...
I think that about says it all right there

And, I've learned the hard way.... (Lost two good childhood friends due to behavior like I posted) People change. I did.... and have learned an amazing amount in the Scion Community... especially in the last year.... enough to know what hurts us more than anything as a group... as my earlier behavior did. Met some great people, who've held me to a higher standard.... and ripped me apart for stupid stunts like that and that's probably why I'm so passionate about it.... cause I've been there and seen what it does...

It almost toasted my marriage, cause I'd go hog wild racing in our cars and put my wife into a horribly amount of danger... hard to forgive yourself for that....

So.... Humbly.... Your right.., Played the same game... and pulled similiar stunts...

Just as wrong as anything posted here.... but just as wrong none-the-less...

.
.
.
.
.

But..... my car NOW?

The Muffler is DOT legal and meets noise qualifications
The Undercar is only on for shows... I've never turn it on on the street... the control box is in my engine bay.
The Demon Eyes are not a violation in Oregon, Fully Legal

And the tinted amber side markers... not DOT legal... so you do have me there.

My car is set up for shows and for the track and that's its design... and that's where it is used.

I'd give ya props on getting me on the sidemarkers... but that's not why states are passing massive laws that restrict our kind of tuning.... it's cause of dangerous activities and vandalism to property that results from activities like the one you posted... and that's where I come from.

ALL over the US, state representatives are passing laws that further restrict our passion, because of all the press that the illegal activities get.... Everytime a kid dies in a street-racing accident, or business complains about groups of cars in their lots and the trouble that sometimes results... we lose a little more ability to legally tune... and it sucks...

If you want to do this at a track.... that's where it can really get awesome.... and that's what we need to encourage on Scionlife... as it will get us MORE credibility and respect, not less.

I've been around long enough to see what helps us and what hurts us... I've done enough hurting to see any more....

Everyone, relax.

Yes, its his car and his tires he can do what he wants with it.

I made my first comment earlier for a few reasons. I thought it was pretty pointless to post a video of a virtually stock tC burning out, with one wheel. I didn't think it was impressive at all, and i thought it was quite retarded. If you are going to make a video of yourself burning out, at least do it right by rolling up the windows, maybe cracking them at most, and give off more information about where and why you wanted to do this in the first post so people don't automatically assume things. Such as you are trying to show off, so on so forth. If he was trying to show off, well, get LSD and more power, then show off in a safe environment.

I personally think burn out videos do absolutely nothing but show how you treat your car. Any car can burn out, a friends dad's 3cyl geo can do a burn out. It shows nothing, it proves nothing, and does nothing as far as what the car can do and so on.

Thats my point, not everyone relax. Everybody has opinions, wether you like the opinion or not be respectful.

Its because they also have proven they aren't about showing off, the zpi tc actually has power to back up burning out. No e-brake/brake burn outs are needed. Theres a huge difference. Not to mention, they have tons of videos of other things other than burning out. Also makes a difference.
