Default Just came back from the track! *Slip inside*

So my average times varied from 9.3-9.4 (we only have 1/8 mile track near my house)

I have heard it is bad to do a burn out with street tires as it makes them lose traction, but the weird thing is on my best run I did a small burn out and it hooked the best lol. Im on nitto neo-gens

Photobucket is down right now, but here is the scan when it is back up

R/T - .941
60' - 2.166
330 - 6.085
1/8 - 9.250
MPH - 79.05

So I need Help on how to get my times quicker. Im on 7psi with street tires,. Can anyone tell by looking at my slip what I can improve on? I dont get any wheel hop, and Im slipping the clutch through first to avoid bad wheel spin. I really dont want to get Drag radials or slicks either. Thanks for any help

This is correct. Street compound is different than race compound in that respect.

You definitely need to improve your reaction time; aim for at least .750 the next time out. What revs are you launching at? What are your tire pressures?

Ya, thats what I found weird. When I did burn out my car hooked better.

and I dont think reaction time affects my overall ET. This was one of my worst R/T's, most are in the 700 range

The only way I can launch is by holding my E brake up (car rolls forward if I don't), revving to 3K and then dropping the brake and slipping the clutch on the third yellow light. I tried launching at 2k, 2.3, 2.5 but I bogged on all of them. 3k is a nice balance between having small amounts of wheel spin and keeping the turbo spooling.

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it

Your right about the reaction time, but that could also be the difference between winning and loosing, so you should improve on that as well. I think your 60foot is good and probably won't be much better than 2.1 on those tires (maybe a 2.0 but will be hard). I think your doing pretty good in my opinion. Only thing to change now would be more boost or stickier tires.

Im now using the WOT Box, so that should bring my times down a bit, im hoping to get at least 9.15 for my next personal best with my same set-up

now bad times, get one of these.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts...=p4506.c0.m245
It will help you out a lot, launch as hard as you want will no wheel hop at all. I found that my car liked 18-20 psi on the 1/8 and it too liked 3k. I also found the best way to launch my tc was, the split second it starts to move(after you dump the clutch) floor it, you can feather the gas a little if need be. this is what I ran on my car allmotorhttps://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...asc&&start=280
I hope some of this helps you out.
