Default Turbo tC AutoX Sept 20th 2009 BMWCCA Nassau Coliseum NY

WooT! A spectacular day of AutoX at Nassau Coliseum. We got an amazing 10 runs in!
It has been since two months since I autoX'd the tC so I was a little afraid of being rusty.
By the end of the day I really started to feel comfortable with her again and started putting down some
respectable times.

I got DNF'd early on during the last run and decided to go real nutty. Lots of tail wagging...and against my better judgement, I ripped the
E-brake through the last real tight 90 degree turn and loved every nanosecond of it! (first time I've ever used the hand brake racing)
Too bad my camera failed to record that run

As far as the coliseum goes it was a pretty fast course with a spot for third gear on the backstretch!

Here's my 9th run with a personal best of 54.8 landing 14th out of 71 drivers (raw times).

BMW has weird classifications. I was in HR and placed 4 out of 6.

The top 2 drivers (raw times) took 1st and 2nd in my class as well. 2008 Vette and 1990 Miata respectively
3rd was a Porsche GT3 on nasty slicks who placed 6th overall
Then came myself with 4th (14th overall) followed by another turbo tC (21th overall) and a 2000 miata (56th overall).

I would have had to shave 1.4 seconds to catch up with the Porsche GT3.... Ouch!!

Very nice! Looks like that course had a lot of little slalom sections that were only two or three switches. Just enough to unsettle the car right before going into the next turn, very fun looking setup!

How does the tC run with the turbo setup? Do you get a lot of peg-leg wheel spin on hard acceleration out of slow corners?

Yeah it was one heck of a course. Fast with a little technique thrown in.

She pulls wonderful out of the corners between the 255 wide R-Comps and TRD LSD no complaints there!

Thanks man! I AutoX'd again today and boy did I miss the course from last weekend.

The course today sucked big time. It was not designed with the bumpy lot in mind (destroying our cars!) and the braking zone after the lights did not exist! I'll have to through up some vidz so you can see. Complete a$$

Postives:
off by 930am done driving by 220pm with 9 runs!

Kind of balances out I guess.
