Don't call b.s. unless you go out there and try it yourself ! I didn't post that list in order to boast; I've been reading posts from people with other vehicles racing against Scion tCs and most of them say that their cars beat tCs all day. I LOVE to race; so, when I read these posts, I try to race similar cars to see if it's true. Obviously, not every car is going to perform exactly the same and the drivers are different. If you want to debunk my list, try it yourself.

Question - Why is this thread is in Autosport and Techniques when 99% of street races have nothing to do with either?

 

ScionLife hasnt taken a stance to forbidden street racing on the site, but racing my be considered a sport that has some "technique" to it.

I personally think its stupid, but to each his own.

 

I would also like to add that anyone who has video of themselves racing illegaly is an idiot . When the man comes knockin', you'll burn .

 

I went up against a new eclipse today. First gear was pretty even, 2nd he pulled a fair amount, which is when I noticed the GT V6 on the back.

 

I went against an RS and a GT; I'll need a few more mods to beat a GTS or GT V6, but it's still fun to try. Try a Tiburon, Cougar, or Sentra Spec-V; these are all pretty close or slightly better performers than the tC. Good practice.

ok update, lost to a hyundai senatra with tiburon engine swap, beat pontiac G6

sounds good .I took a Kia spectra got ecveything you can think of on it!!! It was like taking candy away from a baby

 

I agree high speed, crazy street racing is a bad idea, but people (including myself) like to do short drags, maybe just up to the speed limit, off the light.
