Hey People, I bought a 2004 Silver XB because my Cadillac Deville showed signs of needing a head gasket. A friend had this Scion for sale with 54K so everything was ripe for the picking. It had no Cruise control and was a bit stiff with bumps. I commute 100 miles twice a week and I'm in the process of up grading the radio. I have a power amp and sub woofer. That in it's self was great, but I'm next going to replace the radio with a USB input model. I'll see how it sounds after this before I commit to more. I see it is listed as a small truck base so maybe that's why it's a little stiff in the suspension. Our relationship has grown to the point where I like it and don't mind all the comments I get for driving it. People seem to think my personality doesn't fit the car. What do they know. So far it's a little "runner". I was told I need a radiator and transmission flush at the tune of $600. HMMMMMMmmm there goes my stereo for a while. Some of the reviews stated this car gets 300K miles, at 97K now, I'm hoping this comes true. I know it won't happen without maintenance but I'm willing to put the money into that. So off on our journey together I'll try to post with useful knowledge.

^^ welcome. Must have had a deville with the gen1 northstar motor.

As far as radiator flush, that's a DIY. Transmission flush, you can find some local trans shops and see how much they'll charge to flush it. That'll save a TON of money instead of going to the stealership.

Thanks Big Jim, Cadillac admitted the problem with the bolts on the head gasket but were not willing to fix it. Loved the websites, seems there is an answer to my stiff ride. Thanks.
