My fun lil' project

Hey all,

I'm a first-time Scion owner, more by luck than anything. My girlfriend gifted me her 2005 Scion tC, that she had just paid off. For the past couple years, it had been giving her problems, and so she let it sit, and when she paid it off, she went for a 2015 WRX.
I consider myself a weekend mechanic, and have had some great successes keeping my own vehicles maintained/fixed, but this is my first experience doing intermediate repairs on a Japanese car.

A little bit about my Scion:

It has some benign body damage which I'm in the process of repairing (dented front fenders, cracked front bumper, warped door hinges on passenger side).
It needs a new right-side CV axle
It has been lowered.
It's a 5-speed
It currently has 162k miles
When it gets warm, sometimes it hesitates when under a load, and can also idle rough.
Mostly mechanically sound.
Racing struts.
K&N Filter mod.
Sunroof motor makes noise, but doesn't open.
Other crap I haven't found yet.

Things I've fixed already:

Hatch Lift struts
New Fenders
New gear shift knob
New door hinges on passenger side
Waiting for CV axle.

My hope is to get it in reliable working order and use it, kind of as a fun little weekend car. I live in NW Montana, so the summers are somewhat short, and it's NW Montana,
which IMHO, is no place for a lowered "sports car". I'm sure I'll be asking many a question as I begin on my quest to make this turd, a decent piece of machinery, again.
