- New Member In DMV Area - 05' tC Trunk Handle Broken..
Hello,
My GF owns a 2005 Scion tC and has decided to start modifying it.
The first thing we were going to do is fix that Rear Trunk Handle that is falling off.
It looks like that is a common problem with 1G's?
Any recommendations on which one to go with? I see the prices range from $30 to $200 online.
Thanks,
Dom

Greetings & Salutations!
Problem with handle is that people don't realise it's not a mechanical latch like door-handle. It's electronic only! What happens when they pull on it without unlocking 1st is nothing happens. Then they pull harder and harder. Nope, gotta unlock ALL doors first, then trunk release button opens. Best to make it 3 separate operations:
1. unlock all doors
2. press trunk release button gently
3. when you hear/feel it release, then pull up on handle to open
