'06 xB Rear Window Wiper blade rubber..
I bought my '06 xB new. For the past couple years when I buy a rear window replacement wiper blade from Toyota the blades get stiff and ineffective sooner than before. I'm thinking their stock my be old dying rubber blades.
Anyone know of another (non Rainex) wiper company that sells a rubber blade that has grooves that would work with the Toyota's rear wiper assembly? I bought an OEM replacement wiper arm assembly hoping that the newer spring would hold the blade closer but no luck.
Thanks, Kerry
Tip for 10+ year-old cars:
While parked outside snake a skinny water hose as far down into the windshield washer reservoir as possible and run the water as fast as possible without it splashing up into the engine compartment.
This will flush out the sediment and (here in Hawaii) any slime that may be obstructing the washer pump's intake screen. A sewing needle can unplug or redirect spray nozzles. 20/10 Washer Solution instantly removes road film.
