3 complimentary oil changes

Has anyone here used their 3 complimentary oil changes??? Just wondering if we could take it to any outside services or do we have to take it to a Toyota Dealer to do it for us. If anyone know what's up please help me out, thank you.

for the 1st oil change I took it to the same dealership where i bought my scion but i believe they'll honor it at any toyota dealership.

Yes, that is correct. You have to take it to an authorized Toyota dealer.

*I`ve used one already and 4 more to go! Only draw back is they won`t do an oil change for 3K it has to be 5K for an oil change :x

I've already gone through all 3 https://www.scionlife.com/forums/ima...s/icon_cry.gif I'm at over 18,000... !

proto_k7 12-30-2003 08:10 PM

I am at close to 6000 miles. When I took my scion in for the oil change, it took them 3 hours at the dealer! Free does not apply here, time is money!

Oh well at least I didnt have to do it.............

PandaIst 12-30-2003 08:29 PM

I only waited like 30 min for my free oil change at the dealership.

smilygo 01-02-2004 06:42 PM

I did my 1st free oil change today

I went to Fremont Toyota this morning and got the 1st complimentary oil change. It took approximately 1.5 hours! Mine was at 5490 miles, but I did oil/filter change by myself at 600miles and 3000miles. I love the feeling of extra secutiry.

Does anyone know what kind of oil Toyota dealers use? I was watching the guy working on my car from a distance and he was using oil from a funnel. I have never taken my car to do an oild change and didn't know they used bulk oil. How do we know that they use quality oil?

mach5 01-03-2004 09:57 AM

don't worry about it, us techs care about our cars too so we do use quality oil
my dealer uses mobil and the toyota dealers around long island do the same i believe so it should be no diffrent anywhere else

I'm not sure what brand of oil they use but they use 10w-30, you have to tell them to use 5w-30 ( recommended for scion)
