ATF?
Well today I finally reach 30k and I want to change my ATF. I’ve been looking around for Synthetic Type-T ATF but there isn’t even any” Type-T ATF in stores.
Well my question is “where can I get some and how many quarts do I need?” |
Got me...
Moved to M&CC though. |
Toyota AT require Toyota Type IV fluid conveniently located at your friendly dealer for, I think, $8 a quart. As far as I have been able to asertain, there are no acceptable other fluids which are Toyota approved. At least two, Valvoline Maxlife and Pennzoil, universal transmission fluids are reported as working but I would not risk my warranty on either one. I plan on biting the bullet and paying Toyota when the time comes to change mine.

The Amsoil Synthetic ATF is listed as appropriate for the Toyota auto tranny's. I have had it in mine for about 12 or 14k and it works great.
