okay help please

I decided to skip my 15k maintenance, if you may know or not, because I've been hijacking a few threads here to get some answers and nothing, people act like they cant read my hijack, but anyways.........

The following came in the mail ATC plus &BG MOA oil additive.
Questions/guidance.
1. MOA oil additive. Goes in the circle under engine oil?
2. Automatic conditioner, where is it poured into?
3. 44kFuel cleaner, poured into the gas tank on empty right?

I need help as a DIYourselfer.

1) On the left side of the engine cover, there's a round oil filler cap. Put the oil treatment in there.

2) Your owners manual can show you the auto-tranny filler hole.

3) the cleaner should say whether or not it should be a 1/2 tank or full - I doubt empty is the answer.

PS - I already told you that additives are a waste of money. Fuel-system cleaners can be useful, but the rest, from all that I've read is bunk, or, Snake Oil. Better to go to the dealer or Iffy Loob and get the regular maintenance done when it's needed... :no:

Thanks........... but the number 2? I cant find where the auto tranny filter is. I looked in the book but it only points out eleven points.

I dont know where this auto tranny is and I wonder if I pour
this conditioner in, will it over flow, do I pour the whole 11oz.
in there or do I have to sypen 11oz. out somehow?

Fuel inject should be easy, but hopefully that'll come today, but I don't know where to pour this ATCplus

I'm going to tell you this once more because I truly believe it.
Don't waste time and money on the oil/tranny additives. Since you've already bought them, take the loss and put them on the shelf.
Now, take your car to a local shop and get the oil changed and possibly the tranny fluid too.

Use the fuel-system cleaner per instructions.

yeah got a lot of oil additives..... ebay 68 bucks 10 shipping
Two ATC conditioner = 46 bucks shipped
Fuel additive didn't come in the mail today, so maybe tomorrow? (I'm not driving til then just sitting round the house, watching the boards)
Already had the 15k oil change and tire rotation, just didnt want to pay 280 bucks
for a the dealership to LOOK/Visually Inspect items like (interior, exterior lights) and then add three cans of these liquids. Felt like I was getting Skr3ud. So that's the reason I order all this stuff. I will definitely take it there then it says at the 30k interval. I'm at 16.5k now

Probably hit that around mid summer??

OK....not sure why you bought all this stuff, but if you must put it in...then so be it. But beware...sometimes more damage is done than good.

Most of the time, any additives are done at the time of fluid changes.

First, before you add anything, you have to drain the same quantity out. If you add 1 quart of tranny additive, you have to drain out 1 quart of tranny fluid first, then add it. The tranny drain plug is under the transmission IIRC. The fill is the orange handle you see to the left of the battery. You need to use a funnel.

Same with the oil. You have to drain out first what you put in. The drain plug is under the oil pan on the passenger front side of the car. The drain plug points towards the rear of the car and the oil pan is black.

IMO, you would be better served using fully synthetic motor oil and leave the transmission alone. If you really want to improve the tranny, install a separate transmission cooler. The transmission lines run to the left (passenger) side of the radiator, you will see 2 black hoses attached to 2 aluminum tubes. Heat is the biggest cause for transmission failures.

Oh yeah, and to remove the red cover for the battery, slide 1 of the clips up and the other clip down and the 2 will separate. But, don't leave this off. The battery getting shorted out can get pretty ugly.

ur great. I thought that was something.......i have a little more confidence. going to look for these parts again. I remember the orange dip stick. Just need to find the plug under it to drain it right? right. I'll go out side in 15 minutes and try to match up wrenches to drain some out first like u said!

The Automatic drain is this one I believe on the driver side,
but after I took a pick its not the same tool to remove it as the
oil, looks like an allal wrench (the six sided thing)
And I cant find my allah wrench set!! :nails:

The original trans fluid is purplish light if its clean, and the BG Automatic
Transmission Conditioner Plus is golden (honey color & texture, but not to thick)

This last pic is to show how I spilled 30% of it on the ground. Why? not because
I didn't operate the funnel right, it was because this annoy boy comes down the street
and ask to walk my dog while watching me work on the car, pushy pushy little kid
(may remind some of you of who told you to post here in the first place :lalala: )
But either way the ATC plus is a thicker than the purple trans fluid and it goes down
the orange in take part slower, so some overflowed on to the inside of the car then
onto the ground.
So I just poured a little of the regular transmission fluid back in to compensate.

Wow...a lot of additives for so few miles, I have just started using a couple of them on my beater car with 80,000 on it. Most of the time these additives aren't needed as long as the regular maintanance is done.

There's also a good possibility that some of these can cause trouble.
Fluids are a highly researched/developed part of an engine, and I don't believe that any new car needs these.

The only fluid that was needed and I can definitely vouch for is the 44k Fuel Injector Cleaner. I notice the car feeling slower. Wasn't actually slower, but the RPM needle dropped back down to 1rpm quickly after I took the foot off the gas.
Affter adding it, it cruised again and the needle falls slower, car cruised without the minimally noticable bruise.
Definitely had to do this before I put this road trip on the car.
Definitely going to keep up with the schedule maintenance.

Next thing will be to find out how to do the other things on the list, like tightening chassy? Where, what bolts, but this 44k Fuel Injector cleaner worked Wonders!!!
