Default Instrument Panel Lights not working

Speedometer, clock work, fade with fader, yet the temperature dial, air flow dials, and the electric mirror selector motor button switch lights are not working.
So the dash is dark as can be at night, radio has its own dimmer inside it.

I do not recall these lights ever working since i bought it used.

Ive read they are possibly on the same fuse as the tail lights, well they work.

So, I see new bulbs can be bought, and will do that, yet I wonder if there is some other possible reason to look for when i get to doing this.

I had read someones steering column somehow cut the wire that runs these lights and kept grounding out and burning out the fuse, but again, my tail lights work fine and will inspect fuses also just for the sake of it.

Its 17 degrees out, so before i head out to do this, id like to have a good idea of everything to look for.

Its an 06 XB so, id imagine they do burn out after time... I just find it odd that that are all out. I am unsure if the fog lamp switch is suppoed to be lit, its after market lights with a switch from the junk yard. I put my own radio in and may have forgotten a gang plug wire harness, but again, it did not work when i bought it, stock radio was there and looked as if it had never been changed out.

Thanks for any ideas you may have...

What a coincidence ... I replaced my center console bulbs tonight. On my '04 xB, the climate controls are backlit by two redundant bulbs behind a plastic light pipe, so chances are that one fizzled out ages ago and the other just went last week. Part number for mine was 90010-01082.

Those are on the same fuse as the speedometer/clock/etc.

And don't worry about the power mirror control ... IIRC that isn't lighted.
