I am so grateful it missed the cars behind me!! I closed my sunroof before getting on the freeway. The sliding door was open. I heard a huge suction sound and looked up. Noticed the glass was gone. I immediately looked in my rearview mirror and saw the glass flying behind me. Barely missing the car behind me. I couldn't believe it!!! Terrified. I got off the freeway, drove back around, got back on the freeway looking for it as I was driving it was nowhere to be seen. Any ideas how to find the cheapest way to get this replace? Limited funds. I live in Washington State, lots of rain unfortunately. Also, any ideas what to do in the meantime? Impossible to not have my own transportation. Thank you in advance. Panicked.

The very Best Course of Action is to have your Dealer replaced your Sun Roof. So get Estimates and Quotes.
If you have Comprehensive Insurance, that might be Covered. Check with your Insurance Agent.

Emergency Fix: you can get a roll of thick Clear Vinyl Sheeting available at Michael's, Home Depot, Lowe's or Online:



Use something Strong like Gorilla Tape available at Home Depot, Lowe's or Online to attach the Sheeting and seal the Sun Roof temporarily.
(do not use duct tape. Most are worthless for Outdoor Use. Gorilla Tape should hold for a couple of Seasons or until you have the funds to have the Roof done properly)
