Oh yeah? My cousin just purchased a JG M4 and I'm waiting for my JG G36K to arrive in the mail. I figure I'd get back into airsofting again cause going to the range and spending lots on ammunition was hurting my wallet. Besides, you can pretend to shoot people without killing them! Lol. Did you use to play at professional arena's or what cause I'm afraid my FPS on these may be too hot to be allowed in a game.
You're on airsoftretreat right? I used to be on there before I went to Basic. But yeah I played in a professional indoor cqb place here in albuquerque before it went out of business. If your fps is too hot just replace the spring. Its pretty easy to swap like an m100, I think most JG GB's have m120's. I've contemplated getting back into it since now I can afford it but I just dont wanna spend my money on it yet. Its fun though! I just did the real thing all summer and go to live fire cqb shoot-houses with my Reserve unit every month so it keeps me satisfied. The one thing that bugged me about airsoft is all the idiots. I swear you put a imitation weapon in a 16 year old's hands and his ego and stupidity sure comes out.

Yeah I'm on there. Same name as well. Your in the service? What branch? I don't ship off to basic till the end of May. Yeah I was thinking about swapping out the spring to make things easier on myself and others. Lol yeah I know what you mean when little kids playing with replica firearms. I was at my local airsoft shop this passed weekend to check some stuff out and I already had it coming.
Once I saw those kids in there I was like, "Oh hell...". It gets on my nerves when they use phrases and words like Call of Duty, Tactical and realistic in the same sentence. It's a fun hobby/sport but when they try and talk to you like they are the real thing I just tend to give them the unamused face. Lol.

Yeah I'm an 0311 Infantry Rifleman in the USMC. In the process of transferring into 0321 Reconnaissance Marine MOS. Hopefully my unit will let me go...
What service are you? What MOS?
Yeah I get tired of the whole COD fanboy crowd. Its fun but no where near realistic; I tried firing a 240B from the standing... Hardly possible. I should go back into airsoft now though, I mean I do have all the gear besides the gun

Awesome. I got a two cousins who used to be Marines. Forgot their jobs though. I'm Army. MOS is 15G (Aircraft Structural Repairer). Appreciate your service man. Especially with you infantry guys. If you don't have the funds and need to put it towards other personal matters then I'd advise for you to do that. If not and just want to have some fun I'd say go for it.
Well have thanks man, I appreciate it. But I havent deployed yet so I'm just a dumb ole boot-a$$ e3. I have a buddy who's in the army natl. guard. He likes it a lot. I always wanted to do something with planes, they always fascinated me. Or choppers. You have fun with that! Where's your basic? lol I know nothing about the army.
But yeah once I get married I'll get back into it. They issue us super nice gear, like the CIRAS plate carrier with a zillion pouches. it'd be perfect for airsofting, except I doubt I'd technically be allowed to use it.

Congratulations and good luck with the wedding. Hey you never know. The opportunity to change MOS's might happen. I'm a E3 myself. My basic is going to be somewhere in SC and then off to VA for AIT. They issued you guys CIRAS vests? I figured reservist get Interceptor since there's plenty to go around. I've always wondered about issued gear also just in case I had the opportunity to come home and play some matches. I'm sure there's regulations but it all depends. Should check with your CO and the guys who keep track of these in inventory.
Thanks man I appreciate it! How'd you get e3 pre enlistment? I think my buddy went to basic in NC... I don't remember exactly. Just keep your head on straight it's all one big mind f*ck. you active or reserves or guard?
In training we get OTV vests, which suck and are heavy and hot but my CO is awesome and since we deploy a lot he got us the best gear he could.
If I were to get back into it i think I'd go GBBR. I prefer realism. There's a big influx of gbbrs it seems now

How is that one? You got the one with the side folding H&K stock or one with just the sling swivel? I was thinking about picking one of these myself since the unrebranded versions are really cheap to buy.
I got it due to college credits. The Army also has a thing to where you try to get extra people to enlist and taking this class learning about Army values and everything in it to better prepare yourself and have the opportunity to rank up before shipping off. My contract is 4 years active and 2 years reserve. Lol yeah all my military relatives and friends say it's all in the head at boot. I wouldn't mind rocking a OTV but they do look like you'll get hot easily wearing it.
I really like the CIRAS layout though. Right now I'm using some law enforcement OE Tech molle vest. Looks almost like a CIRAS but doesn't have the emergency wires to pull.
GBBR's are cool but way too expensive for what they do. I don't think they are worth the money either since most shoot way too fast to be considered close to real steal and the recoil is on the weak side. Even though not real but I like how the Dboys 416 has a functional bolt catch. Now if we're using Systema airsoft guns then now that's something worth talking about.

Nice man! I wish I'd have gone active, but I decided that I wanted to be an officer and go to school so I chose reserves first. It sucks because I really wanna be on the frontlines and the unit left on deployment right as I checked in. Oh well good choice in Active you won't regret it!
The emergency wires in the CIRAS are nice in the event of getting shot but in airsoft its overkill so you don't need the $700+ dollar vest.
I'll probably never get a GBBR just cause its a novelty but it'd be fun! I'll probably get one of AirsoftGI's G4 series cause its such a good deal. Haha now I wanna airsoft more!

This is disappointing. I received my JG G36K (scoped version) in the mail yesterday to find out my scope has been damaged internally. There's a spherical crack that looks black in the photo but when angled for the correct lighting you can see hair line cracks within. This is why I hate ordering stuff in the mail. Too bad I don't have any local shops to buy from. I'm debating if I should just make due with it since it's really not functional during games but a nice feature to have or to return it but the thing is I have a match to play in about a week and a half.
It takes about 5 days for the items to arrive and maybe 5 days to send back. What do you guys suggest? By the way the new 2011 JG guns have been stepped up a lot. Mine came with a railed scope handle instead of just the scope handle you'd see on a G36E. I did however receive the incorrect flash hider which was the G36C short version instead of the G36K length and got a short front mount rail instead of a longer one pictured in the advertisements and numerous reviews from the previous models. They even stepped up with thicker plastic and isn't shinny as the older models before.

Yeah I got on asr the other day and saw that picture. Sucks man! I'd send it back. But then again with a mask it's really hard to see through that scope... Jg was good when I had it, I imagine it's great now. Echo1 looks good too. Another option is to get that double sight handle. You know, the one with the same scope but red dot on top? That'd be a good fix plus you get a red dot...

Yeah I was thinking about getting the dual optics carrying handle but that thing cost as much as the gun itself! Lol but yeah I was thinking about putting a Eotech 552 replica up top instead. I might just make do with what I have. The scope really isn't functional anyways and the eye relief is not all that great. Besides that the other problem I have is taking the incorrect flash hider off. There are two hex screws on them. The one I managed to take off wasn't even screwed into the barrel while the other one is so small I don't have a allen key small enough to fit inside.
Lol I'm about to just hack away with it so I can put on the correct one if I order it. $30 for the correct flash hider.

Oh man tell me about it I hated my jg m4's flashhider. I just destroyed that thing getting it off. It sucks.
Idk about a eotech... Seems big and bulky for that carry handle, imo a doctor style sight would look awesome! But EoTechs are cool too.

IMO it doesn't look too bad. I would rather put the Zuess replica sight up top but I hear they really suck and overpriced. For me it's either the Eotech replica or dual optics carrying handle. Now if I had the flat top style (G36C) carry handle I'd put a C-more replica, Eotech 552 replica or a Aimpoint M3 or M4 replica on it.
