Default Anyone ever sell their car to CARMAX?

I've got a 03 Civic I wanna sell, but it has been in an accident (the car was hit while parked by a drive-by shooter...long story). No frame damage, it's been repaired and works fine, but basically, If I try to sell on Craigslist, I'm afraid no one is gonna want to buy a car that's been in an accident. I figure I'd dump it onto CARMAX. Will they buy a can that's been in an accident?

IMHO

just put it on a consignment car lot. , they will take a % of price for their sales effort. but you can unload it rather easy if your price is reflective of it's current condition..

(give the new buyer a 30/30 guarentee..........30 seconds or 30 feet which ever comes first!)

I've sold to cars to carmax. one had an accident valued at nearly $4000 and the other had never hit anything. They took the both cars.

If the work was done well, it should pass their inspection. PS my car never even had the wreck show up on Carfax reports. They gave me 15k for it when PPV would have been about $16,500, but I didn't feel like dealing with multiple strangers to make a little more.

That makes me feel much better. I checked my Carfax too, and it showed up completely clean!?

The only Carmax in Northern California is 2 hours away from me, so I was wondering if it wa worth the drive. I guess it's worth a shot...Carmax it is then
