I want a big phone and I think this is the one I want.
I dare you to tell me why I shouldn't have this phone!

if you want a big phone, i still have my first cell phone. you can tape a digital camera on it to make it more modern...

looks like a cool phone but i always have to ask... why? are you in a business or job that requires all that technology?
this is my phone and it has too much crap on it. give me a phone with a loud ringer and good vibrator (dont take that the wrong way you pervs)

I also like on this phone (I don't know why I couldn't just go to Google maps on my own, via the internet) is the Google maps feature they're talking about. I'm a delivery driver so I can see that coming in quite useful (or yahoo maps or something).
Also, I'm often left to wait for hours for a late truck, filled with the products I deliver each night. What a great way to kill time.
It also can play MP3s, I believe. That's a neat feature for sure (it can't plug into our Scions, can it?).
You could do alot of stuff with that phone. you could easily get a car cradle + gps receiver and now you can use it as a bluetooth hands free phone, gps navigation, mp3 player, and everything else that it does anywayz.
Yes, you could plug it into your scion. Go to RadioShack, buy an aux. coupler cord.
If the plug on the Treo is 1/8 inch, you won't need this, but if it is the typical size of a cellphone jack (3/32) you will need a cord to change from 3/32 to 1/8, then use the aux cord as follows.
I kinda like this Treo by the way. It's not too big, slightly wider than my LG 9800, but also slightly thinner. A vast improvement on the otherwise bulky Treo phones.

TheRealBen, very awesome. Thanks for telling all about hooking this up to the Scion.
So I got the phone today and am very pleased so far. The internet thing will take some getting used to. My next goal is to figure out how to set up my IMs on it.
It isn't too big either. It fits comfortably in my hand and IMO, is very stylish compared to other similar phones.
Oddly... I get crappy reception at my house but CAN use the internet function on it just fine but just at slower speeds.
Oh, and when I was in town today with full reception, the internet speed on my phone was comparable to my cable internet at home. Very, very cool.
I lurve my Treo so far. I've got tons of stuff to still learn about it though (half the fun is figuring stuff out).
Thanks for the helps!

^^ you cant plug it into your car. Phones with an mp3 player normally use a set of headphones that has a microphone on them. Which means there are 3 sections to the plug from your head phone (left and right audio + microphone) versus 2 from your normal mp3 player headphone. Your ipod connection on your car only accepts 2 (left and right audio). I have a sk3, and tried this. needless to say, it didnt work. I even tried splicing my sk3 headphone wires into an fm modulizer. ( now im short headphones and a modulizer...
)
BuUUUT the iPhone is coming out!!!

WOOO! and that phone is amazing! Im sure apple has foreseen this little problem and the iPhone will probably be compatible. Now I know you'll say that its expensive... but think of what you're getting with it, video ipod, FULL web browser (no other phone is capable os this), email, google maps, and a phone!. It's basically a phone, laptop, gps and an ipod all in one!! All they need to put on it now is a PSP!!
p.s. its wi-fi enabled! so when in range, your internet is highspeed!

That's a bummer about the cord.
I don't know anything about the iPhone. I guess it has a full web browser but I don't really know what that means. Does it have a qwerty keypad to it?
I still love my Treo. Screw that iPhone, lol.

haha, full web browser means that your iphone has the same capabilities as your pc/laptop web browser. It will play videos from myspace, probably play music from peoples myspace, show full pictures and display pages like they are supposed to be. It has a full qwerty, touchscreen keyboard. supposed to be as innovative as the mouse and click wheel(circle on the ipod). trust me, the iphone blows your treo out of the water!
Hahaha... darn contracts!
And I wouldn't consider ipods, or iphones or itv a fad. More like the evolution of technology. There are many, many reasons why the iphone is extremely superior to your treo or my sk3 or any other "smart phone" on the market. But I don't want to go into them all. Go to apple.com and check out steve jobs' keynote address on the iphone, that will make you a beleiver...

Well, after my 2 years are up, I'll look at the iPhone.

CD sales have gone way down because many people are downloading the songs or albums for use on their iPods. Look at the start of the iPod age, sales were way up for CDs until the new age of portable music arrived with mp3's and iPod.
