You could make rims look like anything you want, they just might not be practical for actual use. Look at concept cars and the funky stuff they have.

We all know those are American cars but he never said the pics were taken in Japan. He's just saying his boy in Japan sent him those pics.

I wonder if brake cooling would be a problem with those wheels being solid? I know the "holes" or slots in wheels help cool the brakes....Hmmm. If they are real...they would almost have to be 'show only'.

Just because someone from Japan sent him the pics doesn't mean the pics are from Japan originally. it's called the World Wide Web for a reason...

If it's an actually produced product, there's got to be more info than these same 2 pics. Even if it is for show only, somebody must've seen them at a show and snapped a pic. I can't imagine they would ONLY put them on to sit in the driveway for half-baked photos...

The other theory I saw was that they may be made from Alumina which is like clear aluminum, but from what little applications of that I've seen so far, i can't imagine it would be used for this and if they had that kind of money to waste, wouldn't be in that neighborhood...

probably not dusty yet because they're brand new, assuming the yellow sticker on the front-left tire signifies that the tires haven't seen much wear yet.

if these were real, i wonder how much money this guy/gal dumped for those wheels. someone go google up clear wheels and see if anyone sells such a thing <probably a more reliable search than seeing if anyone has them installed.

Spent some time yesterday doing exactly that and found nothing more than these two pics in several places on the inernet.

I'm still agreeing with Signal. These have to be show only and one-offs to boot. I think I want to make some too...

tho the wheels might be a chop they do exist. i think either IFORGED or HRE made them custom for some guy. but they are only for SHOW use only, and ur not supposed to drive with them. so everything concerning brake dust, cooling, cleaning and all that other stuff is in applicable, SHOW USE ONLY.

I have seen prototype motorcycles with very powerful magnets holding the free-floating rims in place. Nothing is connecting the steering to the rims, the car just "floats" on the magnets. Granted, that isn't the case here (you can see the reflections), but that would still be cool to see a car or motorcycle like that cruising down the road.
