The DUB STEP thread
Hey guys and girls, i don't know about you but i love listening to dub step especially when i am driving. This is not intended to be a "what are you listening to right now" thread. More of a help out others find new dub step etc. I am always looking for something new to listen too!
I myself am a HUGE fan of bassnector, mt eden, crispy and as of late cookie monsta. I find that the dub step with heavy break downs and some lyrics fit driving the best. Post up your favorite artists, songs etc! Mt Eden: Omen and Silence (awesome songs) Cookie Monsta: Optimus Prime |
basically any scrillex. my favorite from him as of now :cinema

Your name actually reminds me of a Steve Aoki remix of Day N Night by Kid Cudi, it's really ____ing good. Awesome summer cruising song.

I'm not really fond of dub step and this is coming from a guy who grew up with Trance, Techno, Breakbeats, Drum n Base, House and whatever electronic music you can think of. To me majority of the time they sound like computer and robots malfunctioning but these mixes I do like...

Dub Step is good. I'm glad it's getting some recognition now. Favorite Dub track is by Flux Pavillon - How Rude.
Breaks and Electro House still have my heart though. |

Mt. Eden is what caught my ear to it(was a track used on a clip for a VDub meet), I just casually listen, just clicking through related videos on YouTube. Skins on MTV introduced me to Aquadrop.

This is what got me into Dubstep at the early days of my DJ hobby. Its a bit slower, but really nice to drive to on a quiet night.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiIinm8RggY Good stuff! I've been listening to this. I enjoy it on a quiet drive too! lol It doesn't start till 11 secs into the song tho. I've been listening to dubstep with alot more vocals in the songs lately. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Jigf0ULQVc |
Dubstep is only good if there are major drops... Pretty much like what breakdowns are for hardcore; the only reason it sounds great.
