Had to share my joy in victory
Had a court date on thursday for a 80mph in a 50mph violation (6pts). After waiting to talk to the district attorney for 3 hours, I get my shot. When I was pulled over, the officer said that he clocked a car next me doing 70, and watched me go past them. So this was basically an assumption of my speed, and he had no radar reading on me. I didn't argue with the officer, because I was obviously speeding. After telling this to the D.A., he took my 6 point ticket (around $3-400)and reduced it to a 2 point Defective Vehicle charge! $62 in fines and court costs, and I was on my way!! Just wanted to share :silly:

ah. i see. in cali we have 1 point and 2 point infractions.
odd that he got points for defective vehicle whatever the hell that means. in colorado they just have more points available. and more points given per citation. |
Defective vehicle is stuff like broken windshield, head/taillights, etc. It's what they always list a 2 point ticket as
