ebay is usually helpful for that. just do a search and get a unlocking program. you might need a cable to do it.

I was told by T-Mobile that the Sidelick 1 and 2 ARE unlockable, but the 3 is not. Theyalso said they will not perform the unlock, it is against their policy, and I would need to find a 3rd party service to do it. The e-bay unlock is to select the carrier manually, which for some reason allows incoming calls, but I cant call out when set to Cingular - so tried the e-bay thing & wasted $4 - anyone else?

Unlocking the Sidekick II is not worth the time or the effort. Soooo much of the software on that thing is proprietary to T-Mobile, you won't be able to use it for much of anything with another carrier

your wasting your money

everything on the sidekick on sync with danger, if u do get it to work you'll need a fat sim card to store all the txt. sk3 tmobile sim only holds 30 while the phone holds 100

plus sk2 is big and ugly and old yada yada yah compared to sk3
