OK I'm just trying to find out what other people are paying for rent on thier apartment/house. I think things are getting a little out of hand here in Myrtle Beach but I could be crazy. Our apartment complex just decided to raise ours to $687/ nothing included. That seems high for a 2 bed room / 2 bath apartment. Let me know what you think!
That's actually pretty decent compared to most of north Houston. I was in a 900 sq. ft. 2/1 with a garage and was paying almost $1100 a month while I was building my house. The mortgage is a little more than that, but I have more than double the sq. footage.
so just a hare under 700 for 2bd 2 bth?? i'd call that great...depending on the area....
6-7yrs ago i rented a studio apt, 500sqft i started at $450 a mo for rent... when i left it was just under $600 or so... and that was almost directly under the flight path/runway about 3miles from the airport.. so not really a hi-demand/quality area

Im paying $580/mo for a 711sq ft 1bd 1bth w/ 1 car garage, water is averaged and figured at the end of the month and included ont he next rent, we pay electric to the power company. I can typically expect to spend 600-615/mo with water depending on going rates and electic has run everywhere between 75 - 140.
Ont he other hand ... in the last couple months, rates on my unit went up to 640/mo before water.

suburban Philly area....
600/month plus ALL utilities. 1 bedroom 1 bath with a large 1 car garage. The apartment is small but I spend most of the time in the garage anyway working on my car...

$1000 for a 2000sq foot house with a pool.
687 isnt bad.
what i would do is go to the office and ask them if they can keep the rent the same since you've been there a while...they will make concessions for you....they did for me when i had an apt.

Yeah that's what they've been doing for the last 3 years. I guess it could be worse though because all the other apartments like mine are like $750 now. I even know the property manager and I still can't stop it from going up. lol
