Default I'm going to THE RING

I'm headed over to Germany in Apirl to go drive the Ring!! i'm super excited, a friend of mine went in June and loved it, so he's going again. time to break out PG2 and practice again.

if anyone has gone and has any advice to offer, please do so!

we're looking at Avis to rent a car. They have an RS4 available in their FunCollection. but i'm pretty sure you're not "allowed" to take it on there.

if anyone has ever thought of doing it (or have gone and want to do it again), Continental Airlines has REAL cheap tix in the Apirl 2007 time frame. it $198 for round trip non-stop tix. after taxes and all, it came out to $256. can't beat that i'd say.

I read somewhere that you can't rent manual cars so that will be kind of a downer.

if you go to www.avis.de (and manage to navigate thru the german site), you'll find the funcars collection with a manual Audi RS4. so they do. when my friend went, he rented a bmw 520 turbo-diesel, and that was a manual as well.
