I currently have Verizon as does everyone else that I call or text often...

I'm eligible to upgrade soon, but I'm getting an iphone for free. I could switch to AT&T to use the iphone, or I might just sell it, and get the voyager.

For those who have either...which to get?

If you don't like ATT, you might be forced to do something else though.

You can always unlock the iphone, but of course you wont be able to use it with Verizon.

i like the voyager now, but as stated above. Apple's products seem to get exponentially better with each model that they release - they iphone 2.0 is going to rule the universe...

the iphone I'm getting isn't a 2.0 though...its just the current 8gb

 

I have an iphone.. its unlocked.. its really cool.. i have super mario bro 1,2,3, and even gameboy advance games like street fighter alpha and zelda... i recommand Iphone..Once u try it, u won't go for anything else..!

 

does unlocking just allow you to use other carriers? what else does it do?

it beats all! , well not all , but it is AMAZING

 

iPhone's can ll be 2.0 in June.
It's the software/firmware that will support Exchange and all sort of new software.
Your 8GB model will be 2.0 with a simple upgrade.
FWIW, there is a beta now.

Wait till the later part of this year. Verizon is opening up there network and you are going to see a BUNCH of new phones from all sorts of manufacturers ALL with their own software. Not only that, but Verizon just won an auction for the 700MHz C block frequency from the FCC. In other words, Verizon is going to be a beast in the upcoming near future.

 

At this point, vapor.
In the meantime, Apple working on what's next.

I don't see how they are "hideously expensive" Yes they are a little more expensive than the other networks, but that's the price you pay when you have a strong network. Time and time again, it never ceases to amaze me how crappy the reception is on At&t's network. Practically every time I talk to my other friends on verizon, it's crystal clear, but any of my friends on other networks sound like I am listening to AM radio.

And unless you are planning to travel and use your phone outside of the US. I don't see how being CDMA is a bad thing. I actually thing that CDMA is a better network, but that's my opinion. When was the last time you touched and used a Verizon phone? I'm interested to hear how you think other networks are better than Verizon (outside of pricing)

 

the bottom line is that the voyager sucks.......no company will come close to the iphone..
cant wait for the new upgrade... the 2.0 in june...
