I'm telling you .... 3G Gen2 iphone.

It is going to be announced end of June and will be available shortly after that.

iphone just bought the right to there name in Japan where they only have a 3G network and they have order the chips that make 3G possible with low energy consumption.

This phone is going to make anything on the market look silly.

 

Isn't the 3g i phone due in june or so? Will it be worth the wait for 3g 2.0 instead of just using 2.5g(current model,edge) and 2.0

 

Whats funny is originally Apple offered the iPhone to Verizon. But Verizon refused it because their contract with LG. I believe this is true not 100% sure though.

 

From what I understand 3G is network that everything will be on eventually. There are supposedly also going to be hardware updates as well. If they do keep the current model it is going to be at a lower price.

If you are thinking about getting th iphone just wait a few months. It'll be worth it!

 

3g is a network and technology, correct...BUT the phone needs to be made 3g compatible as well..for example, a standard cell phone on a 3g network will not be as quick as a 3g cell phone on a 3g network.

 

From what I understand and I am definitely not an expert:

A phone has to have a 3G "chip" be able to use that network. For example the iphone doesn't not have that hardware, there is no way that the iphone can use that network. The only "internet capable" network in Japan is the 3G network. They skipped right over the edge network. Apple has purchase the name "iphone" and they are getting ready to enter that market.

 

Whats the price of the next iphone supposed to be?

They aught to have a "trade-up" discount or something, where I bring my iphone in and pay like $100 and get a 2nd gen. Too many people already spent there 3-500 on iphones and I'm sure apple will take a hit since those people will unlikely be sporting a 2nd gen if it's another steep price.

Their intro price is not going to be as high as it was last time. Their sales were not any where close to what they had projected and that is why they cut the price only a few months later. I know a number of ppl that got ther money back when they dropped the price last aug or sept.

They are going after market share. It'll be pricy but not like last time. They know that there are a lot of ppl, like myself, that are waiting for 3G.

 

Arggg. Guess I better sell off this one before the new ones come out and it's for sure worth nothing.

Does anyone know if the ipod jack in the tc controls and charges the iphone?

If so then that will be the $hit!

 

it charges it and u can control the iPod part of it from your radio
the phone and other things cant be controlled by it
