Kanye West is an idiot

True that. Nothing he did on that stage would be consider an act of racism. I dont understand why anyone would bring that up in this situation. He was rude and ignorant for doing what he did and thats pretty much about it.

The solution is simple.
Everytime someone invites Kanye to a show - it doesn't matter what kind of show it is - VMA's Emmys, Grammys, Broadway musical, whatever, just have the event organizers assign one guy to follow Kanye around with a taser (discretely and with great respect of course). Whenever Kanye approaches the stage, taser him. Even if he's going up to accept an award he's won. Especially, if he's going up to accept an award he's won

Lol had Taylor Swift been any other race no one would be crying racism. His comment regarding Katrina was directed at Bush. It would be career suicide for him to say a racist comment directed at whites considering they are the ones buying his albums.

i didn't consider it racist; he just does respect the fact that he can't say whatever he wants whenever he wants.
b/c he makes hot music and he's controversial.

This has nothing at all to do with race. It was obviously staged. Anyone who thinks otherwise is ignorant.
Now, let's play the ignorant role. Kanye West is far from an idiot. I didn't watch the VMAs, never have, never will and I didn't even know they were on last night. Facebook, talk radio (Z100, Opie and Anthony, and Ron and Fez), and even a website informed me of what happened...all without me even inquiring/caring about it. Kanye West's name is being plastered in front of about 75% of the entire US population, so how's that for marketing? Also, Taylor Swift probably wouldn't care, considering her fan base probably just quadrupled.
On a side note, he IS an idiot for thinking that Beyonce's video was one of the greatest of all time. That video is ____ing retarded. It's 3 women 'dancing' to a terrible song. How it won best editing and video of the year is beyond me. Not only is Taylor Swift's video more deserving of best female, it's more deserving of best video also. At least it has some form of direction and story.
With that said, Kanye West is still a ___ fish and Lady GaGa most certainly has a *****.

What ever he said before was before and should not carry over to this incident. For example, lets say you Murphy..say something really dumb. Do we label you a dumb-A for the rest of your life and bring it up in every single situation? The answer is no, so you wouldnt do the same in this situation..especially if he didnt say anything racist.

perhaps controversial indeed has he just publicized himself a great deal as you mentioned (albeit in a poor manner)... however, this is definitely something that isn't new to him.. he's known to speak his mind, and this isn't the first time he's done anything like this..
still makes him a douchebag as taylor swift could do nothing but stand there in shock..
and for the record, i don't like him NOR his music.

i guess i'm ignorant then, because i can't see something like that being staged. it wasn't funny at all and it took shine away from Taylor Swift. if anything and it was staged, he was suppose to say something else, then said how he really felt.

^How is that him being racist? Maybe he's saying Bush is one, but I'm not seeing how that makes Kanye a racist. Logic isn't flowing there.

Uhm, racism is the belief that persons always act according to the stereotype.
Accusing someone of being a racist means that you are saying that they (not you) are acting in a manner in which they take actions, judgements, etc in a manner solely dependent on race. When Kanye was saying Bush didn't care about black people - he was saying Bush was racist because he wasn't helping black people because they were black.
Accusing someone else of racism doesn't make you (the person making the statement that someone is racist) a racist.
And I don't think Kanye even pointed out Taylor Swift's race in his douchebag move. Although I suppose you could say it was implied when he said Beyonce's video was best. Kanye isn't a racist (based solely on the VMA statements). He's just a douchebag.
