wakaba is not filipino at all...someone obviously made one with a filipino flag on it instead of the normal colors, but as far as i know, there is no tagalog word "wakaba". it's japanese for "young leaf"

I know I shouldn't be asking this but I am curious but why is the wakaba badge so famous? I've own a 94 corolla and a 01 A4 so I haven't been in the JDM scene.

Thanks fiendskillz. So by putting this on your car means ur a new driver. Why would anyone want that. And a quote from wikipedia:
"It has become a fad for US drifters, and "JDM" fanboys to display these in their cars, incidentally serving to warn others of their immaturity behind the wheel."

people with wakaba's in there car.. are people who like being called noobs..simple as can be..(my opinion from here on out) its not a fad.. its stupid.. and some americans like to be stupid and say.. WOW.. THATS FROM JAPAN?!!?!?!? I LOVE JAPAN...JDM..SKYLINE...DORIFTO... BIPPUUU...F*CKING JDM YO.. I WOULD ROCK ONE TOO.. EVEN IF IT MEANS NOOB..(or senior citizen if you're talking of the kareha) JDMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM(ok had to let out that rant.. sorry)

so do what you want.. but keep in mind.. it means you're learning how to drive properly in the real world by yourself.. or if you have the kareha.. means you're too old to drive and people should avoid being around you as older people tend to be less alert of drivers..(which i really wouldnt mind if they had here.. since i wouldnt be getting mad at the wrong people on the freeway only to be like.. oh.. they're old.. thats why).. oh.. and IF YOU DO BUY ONE AND DISPLAY IT.. if ANYONE says your car is not jdm.. go ahead and laugh at them.. anyone who's a beginner driver needs to display it.. even if they're driving a USDM EURO or any other country's car...

agreed in full force with sinzz. I see wakaba's EVERYWHERE, even on a mini cooper (some people just dont know.....) and it's the stupidest "fad" to ever hit our shores. sure it has meaning in japan, but in japan, most people dont even USE them. who wants a giant magnet designating your beginner status sitting right on your car? if yuo think it's going ot make you cool...then..do what you like. if you think its going to grab attention, yeah itll grab attention from all the ricers who think theyre JDM with their altezza tails and "skyline r34" kits on their dodge neons. but people in the know will see it and look down on you. because 1) you either know what it means but feel the need to admit that youre a beginner in the world of driving, or 2) that you have NO idea what it is, went onto password JDM, and bought the cheapest product you could find to try and show people the "ABSOLUT KNOWLEDGE YOU HAVE ABOUT JAPANESE CARS AND TUNING THEM TO TOTALLY JDM STANDARDS!!!" its BS....DONT do it.
