Default What The F*q Happened?

I used to frequent this awesome site. Tomas and I kept this a great place. This is a freaking ghost town. How did IB kill it? I mean how did they do it? It wasn't just changing the software. Well it might be, because they killed Audi by switching from kawf to the "you know" software. But c'mon, I've been gone since 06 and this doesn't resemble what I remember.

I'm ____ed (not really).

The excitement if Scion is gone...the site change lost us some members but with the economy down Scion wasn't selling cars so the events waited...no events = no word out = no excitement = no traffic

not too much to post anymore. majority of the threads that keep it going is the tc wheels, slammed/flushed threads, and part out threads.

The site is a ghost town anymore. People aren't building their cars like they used to. Also, like myself, a lot of people have grown up/moved on.

Ironically, I'm picking up a scion again. Would love to see this site go back to the traffic of yesteryear.

I sold my TC. I was doing the one ride thing for awhile. But with my wife moving to Tampa for nursing school I had to pick up something cheap and reliable. I am sure if I had my tC i would still be around more. Plus Scion has changed. Its a younger new generation. All the OG's have moved on or just dont like dealing with all the newb stuff and eventually all the questions have been asked 1 million times. It sucks as I used to love this site. I really need to get back on more and try and help out any used 1st gen tC newcomers.

After 7-8 years, nothing is "new" or "fresh". All the ideas have been done to death, and the real problem is when scions came out in the beginning, there was no used market really. Now these broke kids are getting their hands on the cars at 6-10k, and putting the cheapest ebay parts on possible.

I mean, who REALLY tints their tail lights and head lights so people cant see them? And racelands? Rokkors? What happened to quality suspension parts? I mean, WTF are you gonna do with a $300 set of coils? This place used to be a wealth of knowledge, and now its gone in the pooper. Scion never really provided big "updates" on their cars, only releasing the RS series each year in limited amounts. Sometimes you can keep the sheet metal, but you need to revamp a lot of things. If your not growing, your dying.

The FRS may of come late to the party. The iQ is "too niche". Its not too late to fix the brand however.
