thats wild!
i havent seen a burnt car in a wile.
i used to work at a salvage yard and we would burn a car every now and then on accident.
cars burn so fast and so hot.
most of them would burn themselves out in less then 5 min.

...Oh, the irony of your username! WOW!
I know the loss is tough, but you can be thankful that you were not physically hurt.
Good luck with Scion and State Farm. Hopefully, they do you right and get everything taken care of without any hassle.
So, what do you have your eye on now as far as wheels are concerned? Are you going to stick with the box family or are you thinking of something else?

Default *Big Update*

*Big Update*

So the investigation was done yesterday and they found out that the fire started on the back left side of the radio. There's no way to tell exactly what the cause was just the area it started.

On a side note, i found out that i had a 5 Year Unlimited Warranty and GPP Insurance. GPP Insurance is basically GAP but it also covers your deductible.

So no money out of pocket for me and the car will be fully paid off. Plus Insurance will cover the original price of the rims purchased from Toyota.

Well for now I'm going to just stick with the Corolla. I plan to save up a couple thousand and buy something cheap for a new DD. Maybe a mid 90s Civic, Jetta, or Golf.

I wonder if were gonna see a recall on some stereos in the near future because of this or if yours was just a fluke.

Well its great that both Scion and State Farm are going to write off your car and your not left paying for something you no longer have ... but what about setting you up with another ride? You did have some capital in the car, no? Or were you in the hole with it?

With the value State Farm quoted me, I'm in the hole. They show the retail value at 11,500. I'm trying to get them to push the value where its suppose to be which is around $16k.

If they end up getting the value up i will get a little back, if not my GAP will have to help a little.

And if the stock radio caused the burn .. then i would think Scion would want to help you out too. Im sure you inquired, but maybe if you pushed harder they will help you out?

That's pretty crappy right there for an RS 4.0 and only 27k I'd be getting nasty over that insult. Kell BB says $15,500.00 private party.

Here ya go @ $17,995.00 http://freerevs.com/car/19654068
Another for $15,288.00 http://www.earnhardttoyota.com/carDe...KT324864127943

But I would buy this one for $13 http://houston.craigslist.org/ctd/1452834116.html
Or this on for $12 http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/cto/1421532280.html

Best thing is to send them listings of the same B going for those higher numbers. They should step up.
