xbox 360 not worth it...
 

ok this system is horrible... Waited in line 5 hrs and this thing sucks!!! i know im gonna get a lot of people diss'n me on here for sayn this but microsoft just changed the regular xbox with a new deisgn and made it hd thats it! Perfect dark sucks big time... n64 version kills this version... madden is good but madden is always good. just looks like the 2006 version with hd ... The controllers cost 50 dollars...50.. omg what a rip off! games cost 60-70, and they raised the amount for a live membership to 79.99.... lol i cant wait for nintendo or sony im putn they peace of garbage on ebay, o and by the way a little info for the xbox fanboys this system has overheated 3 times since i got it and its been like 3 hrs of play... madden freezed 2 times... and ive been readn alot of the boards on ign and alot of people are having overheatn problems .... sounds like a recall ...opps!!!

Ebay is flooded with the things now. Ending auctions are going for less and less. Pre-orders last night on EBay were going for over $1K, now the actual systems, NIB, are going for $600. I've seen some as low as $500.

One note people falled to see. To play original XBox games, a broadband connection is required in order to download the emulators so they'll run. It only comes with emulators for Halo 1 & 2.

LOL Yeah I knew something was up with it when my brother didn't go buy one right away. He told me that he had a weird feeling about it when they said there were 2 versions coming out. If it's over heating then I smell re-call.

Since when was a free $100-$200 is a bad thing?

Never said it was a bad thing. My theory is, most of the people who bought them had no intention of using them thanks to EBay. They thought "oh I'll just buy a couple and sell them on EBay for 400% profit", problem is everyone is doing that, saturating the market. I don't know about some of you but I make more $ at work in 5 hours than spending 5-6 hours in freezing rain for $200 profit.

As more and more people toss them on ebay, the profit margin shrinks. It's basic economics, once supply exceeds demand, the prices will fall.

There were people standing outside in the freezing rain for 10 hours last night around here. There is no way I would do that for $100-$200 profit. My time is worth more than that.

I dont know, I am just never an Xbox fan. I always play playstation. I love the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series by KOEI which is never on Xbox. When will the new PS come out?

Last I heard, PS3 will be out this time next year.

First wave of games is somewhat anemic; noisy exhaust fan; no built-in wireless networking; only three USB ports; no support for next-gen HD movie discs; no DVI or HDMI output; doesn't upscale DVDs to HD resolution; gigantic oversize power supply; price will almost certainly drop.

I will buy one later on, right now the games dont really use the system as best as they can. Lets see what Gears of War looks like ^_~

I was just glancing over some of the posts on xbox.com and a few people have complained about the 360 overheating. I know your xbox should be in a well ventilated area but I really hope this isn't going to be problem. I just might have to wait for the PS3 and see what happens.

i heard PS3 should come out early 2006!!
i'm not surprised with the problems and proprietary costs of the xbox!!! all my money will be invested in PS3!!! sorry fanboys!

The PS3 hits Japan in the Spring. It won't get to the US until November, maybe.

yeah, people are just buyn them to put on ebay, i hate that... the people who really want them dont get them, and if they do they have to max out the old credit card. My friend bought kameo and he said its alright... nothing amazing

I looked around on the xbox 360 forums and most people there are very happy with there systems. There are a few people on there who got faulty ones with cooling, setup, controller, etc. problems. If you got a bad one then thats probably just bad luck, when the line to get one decreases, exchange it for a new one.
