FS: tC: 2AR-FE Short Block
 

2AR-FE short block minus the pistons. Includes: Block, Crank, Main Caps w/ Studs, Rods w/ Caps and Studs. This engine will need bearings and a slight polish on #2 main cap. Crank is not scarred at all.

I really hate to ship (bad experiences) and would prefer local pick-up. If I cannot find a local buyer, I will keep those in mind who will need to be shipped to. The block is currently boxed up and the rods are sitting next to my 2AZ project.

Asking $500. Will not part out unless I find buyers for all items.

i wonder if this can be used with w/ 2azfe head & tranny and directly bolts on on the tc

^^ probably not

The 2AZ head will not bolt up with this block (i tried). As for as the trans goes, I dont know. Also, the rods and crank will not fit into the 2AZ because the 2AR has a higher deck height. That's about as far as I went trying to match things up.

Ace: I'll keep an eye out for another 2AZ block, unfortunately I can't let mine go at this time.

bump, the 2AR looks like a great motor to boost. Throw some lower compression pistons in it, and with the taller deck height and 3 oil squirters per cylinder it seems like it would hold power very well.
