FOR SALE Used 5-speed Transmission
 

As you might know Gen 1 manual trans. are hard to come across. I recently had mine get noisy to the point I didn't trust it for my daily driver anymore. I found a used one with 95k on it for $900, and since I was running the original clutch decided it was time to drop a few dollars into my box. The transmission has 208k on it and was not abused as I am the original owner, I did not have the time or patience to repair the 5-speed so opted on buying a used one. The transmission is being sold as is with no guarantee or warranty. My best guess for the noise would be the input shaft bearing($45 part), but that is just my assumption. I'm in Central Pa. for local pick-up or I can ship it at buyers expense. $450.00 plus a part or two is a lot cheaper than $900 like I spent. If you have the time and are not in a hurry it's the way to go. I was amazed at how few of the manual cars were made and shocked at how few are out there for parts.
